Default 2010 Run To The Sun

I am starting the planning for the 2010 run to the Sun. Yes we will be going back to Sun Mountain Lodge for two(2) nights. We take Hwy 20 to the Lodge, with several stops along the way.

I checked the date for the 2010 Good-Guys Car Show, and it is scheduled for the 23rd of July, so here are the dates I am considering.
- July 9th, thru 11th
- July 30th, thru Aug 1st
- Aug 6th, thru 8th
- Aug 13th, thru 15th
- Aug 20th, thru 21st

Let me know if anyone has a preference. If I don't here anything I will just pick a date. My choice would be the 6th of August. Based on feed back I will reserve a block rooms, which will be held unitl sometime in May.

We will have a Saturday night dinner. This year I would like to plan some sort of event for Saturday. I was think of a a Hare and the Hound Rally, with an unknow destination.

The shirt this year will be a Yellow Golf shirt. Design to be determined.

Let me know your comments.

Happy New Year To All,
Dale & Gloria McBain

Hello Dale,

Karen and I will be on vacation from July 11th through July 30th. So for us one of the August dates would work best.

Heather and I are probably going to have an easier time attending the August dates. We had a great time last year and look forward to your trip.

Default The schedule for 3rd annual Run to the Sun!!!

Howdie Everyone!

The 2010 Run To the Sun is set for August 6th through the 8th. The destination for the weekend will be Sun Mountain Lodge (SML). We have reserved a block of 10 rooms in the main lodge at SML. The room rate per night is $200, which is roughly 10% less than last year. Call SML at 509-996-2211 and tell them you are part of the "NW Cobra Run to the Sun Group". If we use up the 10 rooms, then we will arrange for more.

Here are the preliminary details for the three(3) days:
  • August 6th; meet for mid-morning-ish breakfast at Jake's Cafe in Snohomish.
  • Travel to SML over Hwy 20 with a few stops in route
  • Arrive SML 3:00 PM +/-
  • Lounge around the pool or take a nap..
  • Friday evening, no host social at the Wolf Creek Bar & Grill
  • August 7th; Saturday run to points undecided or a Hare and Hounds Rally. To do an H & H we will have to figure out a way to mark the Hwy and not piss off the WSDOT. Any ideas for the Saturday event are would be appreciated.
  • Lounge around the pool or take a nap.
  • Saturday dinner in Wine Cellar SML. Note this private dining room will cost each person $10 to $15 extra, depending on the number of people attending. Last year everyone had a great time there, plus we don't disturb the other diners and we have staff who just handle our group.
  • Sunday August 8th; breakfast on your own or as informal groups.
  • Departure Sunday on your own or as a group depending on whether you wish to head to Leavenworth or back over Hwy 20.

Shirts-
This year the shirts will be Yellow Golf shirts with graphics to be determined.

Bye for Now!
