Issaquah on 6-13
Well, the weather kept almost all of us, except Ray, from the Gig Harbor charity show last month. I just got this e-mail from Dorothy about a "Topless show" (I assume she means convertibles ) at the XXX in Issaquah. The weather is supposed to be great. Here's a link to the show - http://toplessnw.com/default.aspx. and a copy of the e-mail she sent
Jim,
We really missed all of you at the Uptown Car Show last month.
We had two Cobras come late in the day.
You know, it's supposed to be sunny on Sunday.
Time for a ride!
Topless at the XXX in Issaquah! http://www.ToplessNW.com
I know short notice, but you guys do things at the last minute anyway!
Please do write back and let me know if your group can come. We'll have you front and center!!!
Dorothy
How about we make up for last month and have a great showing next week-end. We could all meet for breakfast and cruise up together. Chris, I'm sure they'll let a Pantera in as well.
For those that don't know, the XXX is THE cruisin' hot spot in the Puget Sound http://www.triplexrootbeer.com/

Hi Bob, I'm open to suggestions. There could be a few smaller meeting places and then a specific gathering point for everyone. Breakfast is just an idea but not necessary. It's about a 1 hour drive from Gig Harbor to the XXX. Whatever works for the majority. Sorry I missed you on Saturday.

saturday was great-and Andy got to practice his 'duck and cover' moves at the P.T. tavern with onherlips fishboat lady. I wonder if Bill or anyone would be interested in meeting at the mullenix and then heading to your side for breakfast with the rest of the group which is a great way to start the day-then we could head out from there. I could just take the bainbridge ferry but joining up on the road would be near impossible to time correctly.

I'm only a few miles East of the Mullenix meeting spot. The Harvester at the Olympic Drive exit in Gig Harbor has an awesome breakfast and good parking.
Any video or pics. of Andy being beaten up by a woman?

Just checked the weather and it looks really good for Sunday. I think I'm in for this one. Now we just have to figure out where we all can meet. If nothing else, maybe somewhere around Pacific Raceways??

New here, long time on FFR Forum. Just completed my car.
We will be shooting pics in Queen Anne in the early AM. After that I will head for XXX and hope to arrive around 10. I assume too late to park with you guys but I am looking forward to meeting ya'll and getting involved.
Thanks

Welcome Arch. The promoter (Dorothy) always saves a large area for the Cobras. I'm sure there'll be room for you. See ya Sunday.

Looks like fun, if I can get some different springs swapped Saturday I will roll with you guys, car has sat kind of high since I picked it up. I picked up some lowering springs from someone almost a year ago, just had other issues to contend with and haven't gotten around to putting them on. Will probably go to harbor freight to get some spring compressors if I can't borrow some. Trying to get ready for Car d'Alene in Coeur d'Alene, ID on the 19th-20th.

I'm now located in Southern Calif, but grew up in Issaquah in the 70's. Went to Issaquah High School and mis-spent much of my time at the XXX, the meeting place for hot-rodders on Saturday nights. Glad to hear it's still there! It was a different town then. Have fun guys!! Wish I was there!!

Jim -I think I might take the Bainbridge ferry across on Sunday am to save some driving distance for me and then come back the south route with you guys at the end of the show. If anyone wants to meet in the Poulsbo/Bainbridge area and go across together let me know. I'm thinking 9:35 ferry but open for ideas/breakfast suggestions. last I heard it's gonna be 78-plus degrees

We will be finishing up in Queen Anne around 9 and heading out. I expect to stop for a late breakfast or coffee along the way and get to XXX around 10:30 or so. If y'all are meeting up somewhere along the way, I would like to join you if it works out.

Great turnout today! It was good seeing some old friends and making a few news ones.
Took the scenic route home: Issaquah-Fall City, Carnation, across the valley, up High Bridge Rd, then Maltby, Bothell, Kenmore. Gotta hit those roads every chance I get - living in the city kinda sucks.

Great show. The weather was good and it was nice to some new people with their Cobras.
