Ok, so here are some pics of SPF#2985, unfortunately with me in it. It is powered by Roush 427SR/TW, TKO 600 5 speed, 17" polished wheels w/Kumho rubber, QA-1 shocks. I believe you will find these pics in my gallery.

Should work for us too.
Now all we have to do is pray for nice weather.

This sounds like fun. If there is room, Linda and I would like to tag along. Either date works.

RTTS 2011- Date Debate
SML advises they only have 9 rooms available for a June 17th run. So far it looks like there are at least 10 cars considing the the run. The following weekend will not work as SML is has no rooms available, plus is Father's Day weekend.
So, it looks like we will need go for June 10th and 11th, with a departure from SML on Sunday the 12th. Are you all OK with these dates?
By the way I checked weather history and precipitation west of the mountains is not to likely for these dates, and the weather east of the mountains should be in the high 70's with little or no chance of rain. But hey if you keep your speed up you stay pretty dry. Plus it is suppose to be an adventure!
Let me no you opinions. I will make the final decision on January 18th.

2011 Run to the Sun - Time to make your reservations!
Hello,
I just e-mailed Sun Mountain Lodge and reserved a block of 15 rooms to be held for our group. If you want to participate in this run and associated events you will need to contact SML and reserve your room. We will be arriving at SML on the 10th and and departing on the Sunday June 12th. Be sure and tell them you are part of the NW Cobra Club so you get the NWC group rate. If we need more rooms we can increase the size of the block of rooms reserved subject to availablity.
My contact at SML says June is his favorite time of year, the weather is good, the hills are green and the wild flowers are in bloom. I also did some weather history research, historically on the west side of the mountains there is little chance for rain, and the weather will be good on the east side of the mountain, but not so hot that we cook in our cars.
Run Highlight
-Meet for breakfast, location to be determined. (Leaning toward Snoqualmie Falls Lodge.)
-Friday June 10th "Receipt Rally" to SML from starting point yet to be determined (maybe Snoqualmie Falls Lodge.). Complete rules to be posted at a later date.
-Friday evening at SML meet in the Wolf Creek Bar & Grill and relax.
-Saturday June 11th - Run to Chelan for a winery tour, etc. Also piss-off the park ranger.
-Saturday night- Group dinner in the Wine Cellar at SML if we can fit the group in there. (Note this room has a $150 charge which would be split amongst all of the attendees.)
-Sunday June 12th breakfast at your pace and head home at your own pace.
When you reserve your room be sure and let me know your contact information.
Yes I am going to do a shirt again this year. No I don't know what color it will be. Details to follow.
Don't wait reserve your room now.
Bye for Now,
Dale & Gloria McBain

Reserve Your Room Early
Hello Everyone!
We have a block of 10 rooms set aside for the group at SML. If you are planning on participating in the Run, reserve your room early so if we need to increase the number of rooms being held we can do it sooner, rather than later when availablitiy becomes a problem.
Be sure and tell the hotel you are part of the NW Cobra Club group! The phone number is 800-572-0493.
Also we need to know who wants a shirt commemorating this years run, so I can get the shirt process started sooner this year. I need your size and whether it would be a men's shirt or a women's shirt. These are not tee shirts but are good quality golf shirts.
Reserve early and often!
Bye for Now,
Dale McBain

Sun Mtn Lodge
Dale:
I have made reservations at Sun Mtn Lodge for Judy and myself, June 10 and 11. Your idea of meeting at Snoqualmie Falls on the 10th for breakfast sounded good. Let me/us know when and where, if there is a change in venue. Thanks for all the organization in putting this trip together. It should be great fun!

Hello Everyone,
Wow, I guess I better get my butt in gear and make my reservation since I am the one organizing this thing.
I like the idea of meeting at Snoqualmie Falls Hotel for breakfast, beacuse they have a nice parking lot to start the 1st annual "Run to the Sun Receipt Rally" to Sun Mountain Lodge from; and Hwy 203 is right out our their front door.
Bye for now,
Dale McBain

I thought Snoqualmie Falls Lodge would be a good central location to start, plus some people might even want to stay there the night before the run.
