Default Run to the Sun 2011 Shirts, etc.

Glad to see all the interest in the 2011 Run. I will be contacting SML to see what they have for a room reservation count this week.

I am working on ideas for a shirt for this year. It looks like the cost for the shirts will go up this year, but I will try and keep the cost as low as possible.

Can anyone recommend a winery in the Chelan area that would be good for a group tour?

The official rules for the Receipt Run will be provided to everyone when we meet at the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls. Also the Lodge seems to be very keen to have our group of crazies and their cars visit them for breakfast. It seems the Assistant Food and Beverage Manager is Cobra crazy.

Well I have the car on jack stands for its annual service, also planning on installing new valve seals. Going to try and use the Indian Rope trick.

Looking forward to seeing you all soon, after all it is not that long unit the Run.

By for now,
Dale McBain

Smile Sun Mountain

Hi most of you dont know me yet My name is Ryan White I live in Gig Harbor. I have been resarching Cobras for a while and am HOOKED. I am in hopes of getting one before summer, if my boat sells. At any rate my reason for posting on this thread is that My wife and I have been to Sun Mountain many times and love it there. As a suggestion If I might the weekend of July 15th 16th and 17th. This is the weekend of the annual Winthrop Rhythm and Blues festival. I have been there for this and its a lot of fun. Most people camp by the river so it doesnt effect Sun Mountain much. Its a bit of an adult festival atmosphere in town and features some great bands if you like that kind of music as I do. This years head liners are Jimmy Vaughn (Stevie Ray Vaughns brother and Booker T and a host of others. At any rate just a suggestion. I hope I will have wheels by then. Ryan White

Default RTTS 2011- Need head count for June 10th breakfast

Hi Everyone,

We are set for breakfast at 10:00 AM at the Salish Lodge (Near Snoqualmie Falls) on June 10th. This will also be the starting point for the "Receipt Rally". The Salish has also consented to give each of a time and date stamped paper when you leave the lodge. There will be a similar arrangement when we arrive at SML. I don't know what the trophy will look like yet, but it will be orginal, and I have not decide if the slowest or the fastest will get. There will be reserved parking in front of the Lodge for all of the Cobras.

Remember; You get a ticket you are disqualified!

June 11th we will make a run to the "Lake Chelan Winery" for lunch and a winery tour. The owner of the winery is a bit of a car nut, so we will have a nice place on the grass near their BBQ area to park the cars. The distance will be about 70 miles one way. Goggle says 90 minutes each way, somehow I don't think it will take that long.

Finally I need to know who is planning attending the breakfast so I can finalize the head count with the Salish Lodge.

Bye for now,
Dale

Default RTTS 2011 - Shirt

This year it will be a zippered front windbreaker with a round red and blue Cobra (Snake) logo that says "Cobra" across it. The logo will be on the left breast with "Run to the Sun 2011" under following the curve of the logo.

To see what the logo looks like google "shelby cobra logo", you cannot miss it.

If you have ever seen a color picture of the light blue jackets worn by the Cobra factory team it will be similar to that, but no white strip.

If you want one the cost will be $40.00 max. Let me know if you want one so I can order it. Of course we will need to know you size, mens and womens sizes are available.

Please respond promoptly, because I need to get these order very soon.

Default Windbreakers, Dinner, Breafast, etc.

Right now we have one order for a windbreaker. We need a few more orders before I can go ahead with the purchase. We need a final count by the 17th of May, so I can make a decision on whether or not to go through with the windbreaker order.

We have reserved the "Wine Cellar" for our dinner on Saturday night at SML, so the $150 cost for the room will be divided evenly between us all and added to our individual dinner checks (roughly $25 per couple). At this point in time the head count count is 6 cars and 12 people. If no one else wants to do this we need to know this a so I can cancel the room.

If you are going to make the breakfast at Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie Falls please confirm that to me so I can get an accurate head count. Right now I think it is 4 cars and 8 people.
