Default Topics for Nov. 3rd meeting

Let's use the word topics because for some reason the word agenda might be to formal.

Do we have topics that we might talk about and thing we want to do next summer as a group.

1. SIR vintage races?
2. Bish's annual MOUNT VERNON run.
3. Dyno tuning Cobra day?
4. XXX Mega Cruz?
5. Ford Picnic?
6. Lunch @ Red Hook?
7. ??????

Rich,
You volunteered last year at this time - does that still stand?

Just to carry this over from the previous thread...

Pegasus Pizza it is:
2758 Alki Ave SW
Seattle, WA
(206) 932-4849

Saturday November 3, 2001
12:00pm - 2:30

Be there or, be there!

Zderf

Roger,

Can't think of any really pressing things that need to be addressed except a calendar. Seems like I was always a day late when it came to finding out about things. It would probably be a good plan to have an updateable "coming events" calendar some where on the site that one of us was responsible for. Also someone should be in charge of dispensing Prozac for Rich's last minute emergencies!

Heck yeah, I'm still game.

A couple of things I'd like to go over are:
1) Setting up a date to go to Brents' to help him get his car going. I think this one is vital as we don't want him to lose interest in his car, and more importantly, Club Cobra. Brent, we could bring our own food & beer.

2) Maybe a Christmas get-together?

3) Something stronger than Prozac for Rich when he takes a repair so close to the wire that there's not even time for test run before a 150 mile cruise.

4) How we're going to work the donations to Richs' Weber fund.

5) Assist Zderf in setting up his summer schedule so he can attend more than one event.

By the bye, I just got back from a nice Cobra cruise to the dentist. What a beautiful afternoon!

See ya on the 3rd at Alki,
Rich

Don't forget to mark your calander for the southern events. I got a letter from Cambell Prductions thanking us for our participation at the PIR Historic races. Next years is scheduled for July 13-14.

Brent what is left to do on your car?

Default International Auto Show Prefunction

I went to check out Pegasus last friday. If the pizzas taste half as good as they looked they will be great.
I think I will be at the Auto Show when it opens on saturday and then to Alki for lunch. Should be a good day!

Tim, I have a lot left to do. I got discouraged late in the summer after not being able to spend the time I wanted to on the project (work related), and the process going much slower than I had hoped. It's really not that far off, but....

Sometimes it is just good to take a break. My car is done and sitting at ERA waiting for a truck ( need a full load). They think it will start out in about two weeks. I am ready for my self inflicted break to be over. I hope we can both be on the road by spring. Good luck and hope to see you when the sun comes back and the streets dry out. Good luck Brent.

Question So, Where Do We Park?

I never thought I would be asking this question, but here is the current NWS take on Saturday's weather:

"SATURDAY...PARTLY SUNNY. AREAS OF MORNING FOG. HIGHS 55 TO 60"

Looks alot like a gathering that includes the essence of the club... COBRAS.

Who on the east side wants to meet where for the trip???

Ahhhhh...

Zderf,

I'll be coming down Hwy 9 which dumps me out somewhere near you guys. When ya'all pick a spot I'll see if I can find it. Say 10:30/11:00? From the look of this morning, it's a little hard to believe the sun will ever shine again! See ya on Saturday.

How about the park-n-ride off the west side of I-405 at the top of the hill just past the Woodinville exit?

Thumbs up

From Woodinville it take 45 min. to get to Alki. With SOME people always being late, then the latest we should meet is 11 AM. But 10:45 might be a better call - what do you think?
And I believe Rich is talking about the 160th Street exit at 405.

Arrow Park n Ride

I'm not sure about a P&R at 160th and 405. The one I'm thinking of is at NE 70th and 405, Kirkland.

Clarifications?

The weather forecast is still quite positive. Temps could even reach 60 in some areas. Sweet!!!

So once again, where do we park?

Fred,
You know how to pick'm! Looks like a great Saturday. I have the cobra up on jack stands for the winter. I might have to rethink this.

Rich mentioned the P&R at the top of the hill in Woodinville. That would be exit 22. This lot is an easier "in and out". Don't care - Fred and Rich - which one?

Lightbulb Park N Ride

Exit 22 it is!!! I just didn't recall there being a P&R there.

Roger: Get the car down, now

Bish: Rattle pipe and all, see you at the P&R at 10:45am

Rich: I'll be waiting...

To all: So where do we park?

This country mouse is having trouble keepin' up with where you guys are talking about meeting. When you settle on one, pass on the exit number. I'm planning on a 10:30 arrival at where ever we decide to meet. Get it off the jacks Roger! Summer's back!

I don't know the exit number, but it's right at the top of the hill (heading South) after the 522 interchange. At least that's the one I was thinking of.

Default Exit #22 Park & Ride

This is the one Rich. Exit #22 P&R - I pass it every morning when I go to work or at least when I go to work.

Bish,
Exit SR9 west bound on SR 522 - then South on I-405 and take the first exit. At the end of the ramp take a right (it's on the west side of 405) and then a quick left or south side of NE 160th St.
