RTTS 2016 Shirts
I forgot to mention this the cost will be somewhere in the range of $40 to $50. Based on past experience. I always try and get good quality shirts.

RTTS 2016 Shirts
I am still going to try and do the Shirt, but I seem to be short on time. I'll see what I can get, just no guarantees will have a shirt this year.

Rtts 2016
Hello All RTTS 2016 participants,
Currently the plan is to meet at Steve & Judy Crosten's home for a nice breakfast on Friday the 24th, that they have invited us all too. There home is 3 miles west of the I-5 / Hwy 530 interchange. After Breakfast we will head out on 530 headed east and pick-up Hwy 20 near Rockport.
Is everyone up for this (except those coming down 97 from Canada)??!! It is not far out of peoples wa, and the drive up Hwy.
This Steve & Judy need to know does anyone have any food allergies, or special dietary issues.
Please respond as time is short.
Dale

What do you think about a Saturday run to Grand Coulee or the amusement park in Osoyoos, BC?

I am planning our run for Saturday. Is it a problem for everyone to bring a passport?? I am thinking of a run to the Amusement park in Osoyoos, BC. The other option is a run to Grand Coulee, and a picnic lunch. If you have a preference, let me know!

I believe an enhanced Washington drivers license will get you across the Canadian border. At least I hope so.

RTTS 2016 going to BC
It looks like you need to have a passport or something called a Nexus card, what ever that is. If everyone has a passport, it is probably safe to say we could get into Canada for a couple hours. That being said, if anyone has a problem we would just have to turn the group around and head south. So I suggest we just "give it a miss" and go on a picnic to Grand Coulee.
If I don't hear any "howling", we are headed for Grand Coulee.

Grand Coulee sounds good to us! We see a lot of Osoyoos anyway, and the amusement park is pretty small.

RttS 2016 Saturday Road Trip
That clinches it, we are heading for Grand Coulee, WA for a Picnic or dine in. We will need to arrange for picnic lunches with the hotel on Friday evening, or it looks like the best places to eat in area are the La Presa Mexican Restaurant, R & A Cafe' and the Melody Restaurant & Lounge. They all three had 4 and 5 star reviews.
By for now!

Great trip!
What a wonderful trip! For anyone who hasn't made the trip, Sun Mountain Lodge itself was stunning, but more than that the people in the Cobra community are what make these events extra special. This was another shining example of that in action. Thank you for all of the work making this happen.
I hope everyone's trip home was fun and safe! We took the long way home, got too much sun, and got searched at the border crossing heading home to Canada (we think they wanted a closer look at the car). We're both still smiling and can't wait for our schedule to work with another event!

I second Andrew's note.
Mary and I want to give a special thanks to Dale and Gloria for setting this whole thing up, and another special thanks to Steve and Judy for the great breakfast! Next time we want a tour of the ranch!
Trip up was wet, so WDOMAKR is no longer a rain virgin. Part of the trip involved stuffing paper towels in leak points in the top. Based on other open top reports we probably weren't any dryer that the topless crew, although a bit warmer.
Both dinner gatherings were great, we enjoyed the tall tales of the trip up and of the past trips.
We opted the next day to do a day hike at the lodge and forego the Saturday run.
Trip home, believe it or not, *no* trailers encountered and the minimal traffic actually pulled over to let us pass. I guess the crew that proceeded a half hour before us got 'em well trained before we got to them.
Stopped off at the Birds View brewery for a nip, and then home.
We're hopeful that Mike made it home without further issues and we're looking forward to the post mortem on Mikes car, always something interesting to learn.
Once again, Dale/Gloria Steven and Judy...thank you guys for doing the heavy lifting to make this a great weekend!

I enjoyed this more than I could have imagined. Everyone in this group was so much fun. Thanks for the invite and can't wait for another run somewhere hopefully yet this summer. Maybe I can talk my wife into going next time.

Glad everyone made it home in one piece and that all had a good time. Gloria and I stayed an extra day. We made a run down to Chelan, and a had a nice lunch with a view of the Lake from a Bistro at La "something or other" winery.
By the way Gloria figured out this was out 11 year for the Run To The Sun. We will keep you posted on the plans for next year. By for now, hope to see you on the road later this summer.

Great run (the liquid sunshine notwithstanding), wonderful people and comradery! Hats off to Dale and Gloria for their great organization skills. We enjoyed having everyone for breakfast enough that we would like to make it a tradition for those that want it. Have a great summer!

I never thought gluten free muffins could be so good. I even bummed one of the left over muffins from Susan on Saturday morning!
Glad all seem to have had a good time.

Well it was an eventful and thoroughly enjoyable trip.
Except for the extra hour spent in Sedro Woolly waiting for the car to cool down after getting fuel. I suspect vapor lock after the back up at the 2 stoplights on 20.
