Default Really dumb question

I'm sitting here drinking coffee, looking out over the very wet valley thinking about the drive I'm about to make to the Roadster Show, when it dawns on me: I'm not sure I know where the Exhibition Center is. Is that down where the King Dome was or is it up by the Key Arena? Help.

Bish

Brother Bish,

If it's not too late, yes, it is where the south parking lot of the former King Dome used to be. There is a parking garage on the east side of the building, or the usual suspects further south.

Arrow Stupider

Hey Bish,

Great seeing you at the show..... and pleased that you found it so quickly.

I've been wondering how I got back home, can anyone help me?

This seattle show has really stepped up a couple notches since its first showing in 2000. Lotsa very nice "full time" show machinery. My vote goes to that red 30 something Ford pick up by the entrance with the unreal headers, under carriage, wood trimmings, and bent cane bed liner. 10 bazillion invested in that puppy for sure.

See you next Saturday... rain or shine (with or without).

Zderf

Did you guys go out into the auction area? Pretty good looking Series 1. First time I've seen one in person. Guess I'd better check my lottery numbers to see if I'm ever going to have one.
Some nice cars and trucks. One awsum!! Grand Sport #3.

Rats, checked my numbers and didn't win, even with my special powerball numbers. That Series 1 will have to wait for a while.

Arrow Series I

Saw the Series I... unusual that it did not have the stripes. Its been sitting at the Olds / Cad dealership in Bellevue for quite some time. Having sat in one at SAI in Vegas, I can say that its waaay too small for me (not that I am not squeezed into the Can Am, but at X 1000's of $$ less, I'll put up with it!). At the auction, I was leaning towards that Porchse with the GM 4.3 V6... (KNOT). Actually, Rich L was bidding on that one when we left! Bish had his eye on that old Citreon.... looking to snatch the motor to replace the bowtie in his Cobra....

Now, the Gran Sport... WOW!! Awesome...the best. It is the feature car at SIR Sovergn this year over the 4th.. drats, I'm outta town again.

Yeah,, nice day for all.

Zderf

Fred, Maybe if Bish replaced tha Bowtie with the Citreon the bumpity-bumps would go away. He wouldn't have to worry more about hardening his rear axeles as much as his arteries.
see ya next weekend,
Keith

Actually I thought the coolest car in the show was the awesome vintage Cadillac lemo, just gorgious. Had to restrain Zderf from hopping on a "Best in Show" custom Harley. He would have looked like a Ikabod Crane riding a pony on that thing. Rich's fave was the the Shelby GT 200, a pretty '65 fast back with a jazzed 6 in it. I thought of you Kieth, when I stopped by a suspension booth. The guy guaranteed he could get the ass end of your car high enough (even with you in it) so the tires will stop dragging on the wheel wells. .

Bob, thanks for the directions, but I was already on the road. Figured I would start south and see if it was there, if not I would head north till I found it. Got lucky and hit it the first time. Now that I have the lead out of my ... and on the rear wheels, I can think more clearly

See ya all next Saturday.

Bish

Hey Fred,

That truck is based on a '34 Ford, it's called the Tubester. Most of the fabrication was done by Ron Covell, a master tin bender from N. Cal. The workmanship is incredible, the notions behind the design.............................let's just say, to each his own. It's a great display of the craftsman's art.

Sorry I didn't get to the show, languishing here in Vegas. From what I've heard though, I'll need to bring back some sunshine with me for next weekend's gathering at the 'Hook. See ya then!

My favorite was the flamed out, spoiler be-decked BMW Isetta with the matching barbecue.

Zderf, you said, "I've been wondering how I got back home, can anyone help me?" Yes...we got home using the Hal 9000 navigation system in your Merc. "I'm sorry Fred, I can't open the pod bay doors".

Bish, nice seeing you, as always. Have you called the guy on the Cougar yet?

Rich
