Nwcc Calling All Cars.. Calling All Cars
Just in case this gets buried under a non-descript heading... I am posting it under its own banner:
ATTENTION ATTENTION ATTENTION... CALLING ALL NWCC MEMBERS. CALLING ALL NWCC COBRAS. CALLING ANYONE WHO WILL LISTEN OR GIVES A TOOT.....
All NWCC'rs please sign in below for the Woodinville Red Hook Brewery venue this Saturday at 11:30 am. This is critical as the chief brewmeister needs to know how much coffee to brew...
Yours Always,
Zderf

I'll be there, but Cobra-less. I got the rear end back from NW Differential, but there's some other things that I want to accomplish while the back of the car is so wide open and accessable.
As a salute to my Cobra brothers and sisters who make the trip to Redhook in wide open cars when snow is in the forecast, I'll drive down with the sunroof of the Lexus cracked open a little.

I'm There! Cobra has Flu..
Zderf,
I'm there, the woman was telling me we need to go dirt bike riding this weekend and had a hard push on...but I won! With a little help from Bish.
The Blue Cobra is down with Toploader rebuild in process so I will not be driving the S/C (I got another car though -- Hear that PDX?). I took out the tranny for a simple Output shaft bushing replacement and find the Input shaft bearing needs replacing too. Might as well do the whole shootin' match while I'm into it that far. Waiting on an email response from David Kee to see what it's gonna' cost me.
Di suggests putting a sign in the window of my car reporting that the "Cobra is down with the Flu at home." Yahoo Weather says just cloudy on Saturday. YAHOO!
http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/USWA0499_f.html
Most of us NW gang are brave hearts and head out in the Cobra regardless of rain. I would! (Easy for me to say my car is broke.)
Regards,
Kev and Di

All dressed up.....
I'll try this again. To properly run this machine you must have to have a I.Q. higher than you can count on your fingers and toes.
All dressed up and nowhere to go! Maybe! The Cobra is off jack stands, crankcase full of Mobil 1, new filter and the battery is charged. Ready to drive the mile and a half to the Redhook brewery. Like Fred, I can make a last minute decision whether to drive the snake or the daily machine. But I will be there before 11:30 and I will buy the first pitcher.
Fred,
Was that you driving over Hollywood Hill and down Wildflower last weekend?

Red Hook
I'm still in! Not sure about the wife & baby? or even the Cobra? Decided to re-route brake lines and go SS brake lines on front also.
Running into a few snags, but she should be ready to go.

Count me in. Coming down on Friday night and if it isn't flooding I'll come in the snake. We're gonna freeload a meal with Kevin and Dianne (Blue Cobra) on Friday night, drink some of their stash and thaw in the hot tub. Gotta pinewood derby with my 11 y.o at 0900, then hop over the bridge to Woodinville. Looking for my woolies!

The car is still up on jacks (No the dogs didn't eat it over the winter) and it looks as if I will be coming up solo.

Shake Down
Quote:
Fred, Was that you driving over Hollywood Hill and down Wildflower last weekend?

Roger, that was me with Rich riding shotgun (he came over to help me spray the garage down with trans fluid, then get his Cobra fix for the week). Twas the spring shake-down cruise. All systems go (save a couple minor things I'll do when it warms up).
We may be looking at more than rain Saturday.....
NWS, 3:30am March 13; SATURDAY...SNOW SHOWERS LIKELY. BECOMING WINDY IN THE NORTH INTERIOR. HIGHS 35 TO 45.
Yishhh.

I haven't found 11" wide snow tires for the Snake, so Bev and I will take the GM [ I know, but it gets 45 mpg and has a roof] to the Redhook.

Storm Watch 2002!
Jim Forman will be our guess speaker at the Redhook. He will be cover StormWatch 2002 if his news van makes it though the snow.
I hope the first pitch isn't the last pitch and I have to drink it by myself. See you Saturday!
P.S This weather really sucks! Maybe those snowbirds from Nevada have figured it out.

I'll be there for you Roger.
I was thinking...of all the get-togethers over the last couple of years, this is only the 2nd time we've been rained (snowed!) out. The other being the restaurant at Southcenter. That's pretty dang good for these parts. I won't mention all the times we've committed by leaving home and THEN been caught in the rain...
