Wow!
Nice Job!
The car looks a little skinny though
Wish I can make it but doesn't look like the car will be finished in time for the run.

Art Work by Slab Boy
Actually, if you look in the lower right hand corner, you will see that the poster was created by Walt "Slab Boy" Tomsic.
If you want the full four page flyer let me know.

Skinny!!? Svelte perhaps. Slender works. Certainly lean and graceful. But "skinny"!! They say fully 2/3 of americans are overweight. The lithe and elegant street 289 is not among them. As Peter Egan so aptly put it in his recent Road & Track article about driving a slabside across the U.S., "...the Cobra has both beauty and brutality in its lines." He was talking about the 289 friends and neighbors. SKINNY...hhrrrumph!
Proud to be, "Slab Boy" Tomsic

Bish??
Do you see how defensive some people get when they feel they to right all the world's wrongs.
We'll see how skinny the Miata is when "Slab Boy" has to drive it all the way to Boise.

Undernourished....
As I recall the famous ' Draggon Snake ' was a 289 slabside that rained down havoc at the drag strip on the Big block cars of the early 60's ! Where do you think the song 'Spring little Cobra ' came from?

Keith....your flashin' fingers are amazin'.
WSBT.......I figured out that after three wives, I guess size does matter.
Perry......I think the "Spring" in Spring Little Cobra refers to the front suspension.

Dear Slabbobeef!
GREAT drawing!
Now how 'bout a 427 S/C and a line of (you guessed it) the time-honored response to just about anything intriguing or
out of the ordinary--the Amurrican T-SHIRT?
I think "Slab" could make a killing---as long as they came in XXXL-T----oh, did I mention my proclivity toward pork? I maybe be alone out there---in fact there are lots of us with Godlike physiques!
As they say "Down East": Hehbie: "Look aht thaht wun, Waltuh---she's a REAL PAWK-UH! Bet she'd dress out to abowt a a quattah-tun. Whuchew think?' Wahltuh: "I think that's my wife, Hehbie..."

AWESOME!!
Bish.. Walt..
The package arrived today and is way beyond what one would expect. You guys did a 1st rate job; the info, the graphics, the high grade paper, the details, the planning. Simply stunning.
I can't wait for what promises to be something beyond anything I've ever done in a car (or boat or plane or whatever..).
Thanks a million for taking the time to pull this togther and for allowing me to be a part of it.
Respectfully,
Zderf

"Skinny"
OK, maybe skinny was the wrong word..... "slender" is nice?
Just seems strange to be able to look down the fender lines and still be able to see the door panel!
Really it's kinda like comparing Peewe Herman to Arnold...... slender vs. muscle!
Mike
Cours, guess I aint compairing nut'n til I get my car!!!!

Good grief! We have 19 cars signed on for the run so far. Is this gonna be fun or what?
FYI: I have only reserved 15 rooms in the motels listed in your flyer. If you haven't called for reservations yet, you should do it now. I'm sure getting more than 15 rooms isn't a problem at this date, but as we get closer it will become a problem.
If you haven't sent me your cell # yet, please do.

HOTELS SOLD OUT
Made ya look!!! Only kidding.
My rez's were made this morning.
Brent, sure glad to learn that you will make the trip. Welcome back!
Rich, get your REAR in gear (pun intended) and make those reservations.
Steve Toth... how nice to hear from you. Glad your coming. What about Fred H and Dennis?
Bish.. again, what a great job you've done here. I think we ARE going to NEED an escort into Boise. Too much.

Zderf.
Fred Hamilton (Tacoma) has been on the list for quite a while and Dennis and Kathie signed on yesterday. Also Gary and Vicki Akin out of Bainbridge Island. Guess I will need to post a list of the folks that are going. I'll wait a few days more and then do that.
