Canyon Road
Bish,
I had not realized that old Canyon Road was overlooked. It is a great drive along the Yakima River with lots of corners and cliffs. I would not have let you miss it.

The Back Dr. gave me the OK to go back to work so that means the Trip is back on. I mean if I can go to work I can go play. With a little pillow behind the back that seat fits FINE. I'll be waiting for you Zderf.

Any one running with Fred must be careful not to run afoul of the phantom RR crossing.

Fred's Back!
Great news Fred! Glad that you will coming along, but be sure to take it easy so you don't mess your back up again before the Sun Valley Ride.

Fred Squared... the POWER of 2!
This is great news!
It'll be BOFUS!
I've always thought two is better than one.... except maybe for speeding tickets, IRS audits, and hippos under your boat.
Fred H... see ya at XXX!
Yours Truly,
Zderf

If you read the headers on Zderf's notes they MAY make more sense.
I see... I didn't read the message header about Fred squared.
See BOFU next week.

Anyone who has spent time in the south would immediately understand. "bofus" is like "y-all", it's a morf and slur linguistic technique that has been perfected to a high level by our southern countrymen...saves time and confuses yankees.

First Day Route
Once we are back on the Freeway (I-82) after the Canyon Road section (the Yakima river road) we will get off again at Exit 34 which puts us on SR 24. We'll take 24 E through Moxee City and continue on through Black Rock Valley to the intersection of SR 24 and SR 240. At SR 240 we'll head S.E. Into Richland.
Just another example of our continuing efforts to limit the number of Freeway miles we will have to endure. Regretably there is not much we can do about it on Day 2 because we have a lot of real estate to cover, but the Blue Mountain terrain is very pretty even from the four lane.
Because some drivers are, shall we say, a little more agressive with the foot feed, (Fred) it may be difficult for the group to stay together. As we mentioned in the flyer, we need to break into groups of 3 or 4 cars that will stay together no matter what. We can all stay together if we want, but those groups will stay with each other through gas and pottie stops etc. etc. So be thinking about who you may want to run with.
We will all try to stop at the same place for lunch ('cuz it's cool to wow the locals with the assembled snakes) I will try to stay in the lead, but I won't be hurt if one of you wants to take "point". We all know where we are going each day and I will have directions to the motels printed to hand out at the start.
As I have said, I don't want to get in the way of the fun, so once we are underway you are free to do your own thing if you want, but you know how much fun it is to arrive as a group.
One week and counting, YEEEEHA!

How did I all of a sudden get the LEAD foot. I will just stay some where in the middle and follow the law obeying driver in front of me. I am willing to say I will NOT be the FIRST to lay any rubber on the pavement. Any takers out there. I for one am all for a group arrival even if I have to come back and re group and get in behind Zdref

Be affraid...
Bish, can we choose which group we'd like to run cleanup with? I saw Fred drive at the last track day and I'm not sure he'll have any rubber left after 5 days on the road.

Yeah, I know. I'm going to toss a spare set of rear tires in the truck just so Fred will be able to complete the second half of the run!
