Hotter 'n Side Pipes!
Just returned yesterday from the Kona Coast. Had the pleasure of being within inches of something hotter than any sidepipe.
So where exactly is the Barnes and Noble to which you refer Slab Man? I'm thinking of making this trip...
Please advise.
Sweat'in Zderf....
See what I mean by HOT!!!

Welcome back Z man! Here are some directions...
From either Kingston or Bainbridge head toward Highway 3...
for Bainbridge, that means 305 through Poulsbo to SR-3
for Kingston, it's 104 to 307 to 305 to SR-3.
Head south on 3 and look for the exit to the Kitsap Mall in Silverdale. Go to Randall and turn left (an Olive Garden will be on the right at that light and a Target is off to the right as well), follow Randall a short way and Barnes & Noble will be on your left (the mall itself is to the right).

Blue is Blue
Keith sorry but we're not going to make the Townsend run this weekend. Trying to make Walt's wino' cruise but not sure yet. Do know that the Skagit Cruise is a positive to be there. Hope to see you all sooner.

Who's Going to PT?
Due to repairs, spiffing, vacations, and other assorted duties, I've had little seat time since the Polar Run. Bish, are you going to Townsend? I would be pleased to meet up with you for a Kingston ferry run to the meeting place in Silverdale.
Any other East Siders thinking the same thing?
Let me know soonest.

Zderf,
Yes gonna make the run. Will take the Ferry, Bremerton or Kingston? Think the Brem would be best. Will get back to you tomorrow with what I can do. Late here and I can't think

Bish, it happens to me all of the time!
If you think Bremerton going over is a better shot, that's fine with me. Either way, it will be an early departure to make the 10am meeting time.
I think returning, Kingston would get my nod (from Port Townsend anyway).
I'll await your further orders hier Bish.

Zderf and all,
Okay, got the brain cells on line again. Since we are going to meet in Silverdale, the shortest route is from the Bremerton Ferry landing. The ferry ride is longer (30 mins) which is good for me as I will have the pleasant company of "The Lady Linda" and she likes the Ferry ride. It's a pretty straight shot to up 3 to Silverdale from Bremerton and quite a long back tracking drive from Kingston. If we catch the 9 A.M. boat we should roll into Siverdale before 10:30. The return would be best through Kingson. The ferry before the 0900 boat is at 7:40 which is a bit early for us.
Whatchathink? We can meet at the dock at say 8:30? I have no idea what the traffic load is on Saturday morning, so if anyone has input, please post.

Gee this site is slow in loading the morning!
Fred,
No matter what we do, unless we catch and early Ferry, we probably won't get to Silverdale before 10:30. Catching the early Ferry will be kind of tough, so will the 10:30 meeting time be OK? Slab Guy posted that you all wanted to be on the road at 10:00 from Silverdale.

Bish and all...
Why doesn't the ferry crowd (no slight intended) just proceed to the Hood Canal bridge and wait there. The Gig Harbor weigh station contingent can do a coffee stop in Silverdale to kill a little time and then proceed to the bridge...getting there about 10:45 or so. This will still get us all to Pt. Townsend around noon.
What say you?
The Slab

Meeting
Jay,
We are meeting in front of the Staduim Exhibition Center on Occidental at 8am. That way we can move to Coleman dock together. You know where I am speaking of? Where the vendors set up for the Mariners games?
Please advise!!

Keith
Nice little run you put together and it was nice to see every one again. It was nice to take the car out and get rid of the rubber worms, you let to many of them build up on the out side and before you know it the tires are shot. I guess the next run is the Bish feed.

Mr Hamilton
Fred,
You are a bad bad man.
I caught just a little bit of hell last night for that little stunt of yours. It did explain to Patti that yes the road was not long and straight. But at no time did I feel we were unsafe. Well, no too unsafe. I also explained that the posted speed limit was a suggestion on that road. Doubling it was ok but we shouldn't triple it. I also blamed it on YOU. After all I was just following your example, just in front of you. I told her I was only trying to get out of your way until we could find a place for you to pass. Somehow all of these explainations have fallen on deaf ears and finally I accepted the blame and told her I would explain the error of your ways to you at the earliest time. LOL
However, what a kick. We need to find a few more roads that that for every trip. Just glad we weren't behind the Slab Lord.
I watched after we got off the freeway and never saw the last two cars go by. Hmmm, obeying the posted limits will slow some cars down.
