Default Way to go Randy

Must be a great feeling after all that work. Should I send you a packet for the Idaho Trip? June 6th is the day. C'mon, you can make it.

Congratulations

You will be amazed how much more fun those errands are to pick up the pizza, etc. The trick is to get back in time so the pizza is still a little warm. Enjoy . They are fun to build and more fun to drive.

Tim
Hope to see you at some of the NW events

Yes, that was my first outing with 607 other than a couple of short test trips back and forth down our road. I went for about a hour and half drive. It was great to be back on the road.

Brent

What's going on with your engine? Are you still out of the Idaho run?

Red ERA

Is your car far enough along to make the Idaho Run? Love to see ya.

Default Welcome

Randy,

Great accomplishment and now the fun is just starting. The NW gang is lots of good times and good friends. If you can keep up with the pace of events during the next 4-5 months you be doing better than I can.

Hope to meet you on the Idaho Run, if not then XXX Hot Summer Nights, Everett Colby Cruising, Friday nights at Hwy-99 Burger King, Skagit Cruise, Snohomish Show-n-Shines, and lots lots more. Hope to see ya soon!

Oh please remember with big blocks in Cobras, or should I say high-hp Cobra's in general, you always accelerate from corners as though you've got an egg between your foot and the gas pedal-----OR ELSE-----you'll see you gas cap pass you by, and buddy that's not fun at all… Once the beast is pointed in the proper direction then GO FOR IT and MAKE SOME NOISE!

*****DISCLAIMER: Do not do this move or anything else stupid within a 15-mile radius of where your primary residence is located.

Nothing sounds like a big block but a big block!

Drive safely.
Kevin

Thanks guys for sharing in my "event". Yes i'm still grinning but it seems to fade as I leave for work in the morning. There are still so many little things to finish and not enough time to get it all done. The grin does start to return when I get home though.
Rich and Bish, thanks for the invitation to go to Idaho but I think i'm going to sit this one out and get some local miles on the car. There are still lots of little kinks to work out and i'd rather do them here close to home. But I will be at the triple X to see you guys off and maybe tag along to the top of the pass.
Hey does anyone have any words of wisdom regarding Wash state Patrol inspections? I plan to take the car in on Monday or Tuesday.

Default Inspection

Randy,

The only thing the State Patrol inspects is your paper work. They don't give a hoot about the car unless of course you live in an area that requires emission testing.

Keep tinkering, I'll bet you can get that car ready by the 6th

Bish

Uh oh............I live in an area that requires emission testing. Will that change the state patrol inspection or just require that I get emissions testing before licensing?

Randy,

I live in Skagit county where emission testing doesn't happen. You have a number of choices. Use an address in Skagit or Whatcom or whatever county doesn't require testing. Get it tested, which it will probably fail or get it tuned so it will pass, which means the car will run lousy until you can get it retuned. Your best bet is to talk to one of the guys who lives down there and see what they did. I know that Steve Rauch just went through it and Zderf, Rich, Roger C. (nearly everyone for that matter) live down there so they ought to be able to guide you.

Or you can just simply move to Skagit county
