Default The Idaho Run Poker Tourney

As we noted in the info pack that was sent out, the upcoming Idaho Cobra Run will feature, for your further enjoyment and sporting pleasure, a poker match. Here's how it works...
• Cost to enter is $10. Cash only please, due when we get together at the XXX on the 6th.
• One entry per car.
• You will be given one card at five points along the way.
• Cards will be sealed in envelopes and must remain so.
• The game will take place at our last stop in Pullman, we'll play 5 rounds, adding a card each round. There will be a "winner" for each round and the pot will get larger each time as we move to the final 5 card hand. Exact amounts will be based on how many enter. I'll announce rules for ties etc. at the start of the game.

Ante up lads!

Eminence...

Not you!!

The "house" which in this case is me, will find a suitable neutral party to hold the stash prior to it's disbursement. Further, my selection of cards will be closely monitored by a crack contingent of U.N. peace-keeping forces armed with mace and tasers. Additional security will be provided by satellite surveillance and at last check, Jimmy Carter indicated his willingness to personally oversee the operation. THERE!!!...HAPPY NOW!!??

Yo Bishop, all said and done, is it really a good idea for Slab Daddy to hold any one's money.
After all he may be driving Deni's Miata to Boise. Can we really trust a Zoom Zoom guy, anyway???

Vincent...
keep in mind the ante for this sporting event is FOLDING money only. I don't want you showing up with a bag of vending machine quarters!

Thumbs up Count me in...

I'm in... now, lets see.

Paper. Foldable. Ummmmm.

Yeah!!! I can use the 47,260 Afghanistan Afghanis I've had laying around since last summer. It folds nicely, and is worth just over 10.00USD!!

I'll have it trucked to the finish line so you won't have to mess with it!

It seems I forgot the personality profile I'm dealing with here. OK... A.- legal B.- folding, C.- American, D.- dead white guys named Lincoln and Hamilton.

OK OK! Further clarification...amend 'B' above to read "PAPER folding money" and 'D' to read "Abe Lincoln and Alex Hamilton.

The House is becoming upset!

Default Hmmm...

Might I suggest that our faithful K-9 companion "Enzo" the Collie be the trustee to the poker run pool. He may well be the only trustworthy attendee of this event as he does not know the value of the almighty dollar. Although I plan on partaking in this wager the dialog that proceeds this post lends to my uncertainty. We do have a lockable "safe" in our support vehicle.

Besides, if I'm supporting Fred's group we can use the kitty to buy another set of tires for him, should it be necessary!

The house welomes Enzo the Collie's participation. Who knows, there might even be a kibble or two in it for him.

The heck with bringin' quarters. I'm going to raid the Coke machine and bring nickels. If somebody is going to run off with my money at least it will tear a hole in their pocket.
