Question Oregon Licensed Cobra Owners

Question to my fellow State of Oregon licensed Cobra owners.....

As we all know the State of Oregon requires a front license plate, any of you bother with this? Ever been hassled by the police for not having a front plate?

Thanks, Mike

Hawaii requires one also. Since I removed mine some weeks ago no one has noticed,,,,,,,yet. I know the cops here WILL enforce it IF your stopped for something else all ready. Never heard of anyone being pulled over "just" for that. Former Oregonian here, I used to run without a front plate there also and was never stopped. Maybe I been lucky?

Got pulled over here for not having a front plate. The Cop was cool, really just wanted to jaw about the car, but said I needed to get the plate mounted. He laughed when I asked him "where?". Could have gone the other way if he had been a jerk.

I was asked if I wanted to get a "collector" plate when I registered the car in Washington. Because my car was first registered in another state they did not question the 1966 Ford registration and with the collector plate I have no yearly tabs and no front plate.
Not as cool as Bish's YEEEHA plate. But no front plate and cheaper.

I was pulled over between Silverton and Mt. Angel for no front plate. I told the officer that a front plate was not standard equipment for a "65" Cobra and I didn't need one. He called in on the radio and came back to tell me they could find no one to refute my claim and let me go.
