Lunch next weekend?
How about a lunch get-together next weekend? I'm thinking Sunday as the Huskies might win another game, whereas the Seahawks will probably do well in next year's draft.
Alki?
Bacon cheeseburger run to Snoqualmie?
Redhook?
???

They may want me to work, but for a Bacon Cheeseburger I will tell them to go pack sand. The weather may even be nice and the car may be running by then. If the weather goes to **** are we still going to meet?????

Another Idea
Hey guys,
Would you all be interested in meeting somewhere south of seattle? I realize that I-5 is not the most fun for driving, but with the new car I am anxious for a run. Do not do this just for me. If weather becomes a question then I would not show, new car, no top......... rain is not for me! Now cold I can handle!
Is there any interest from others here in the Portland area?
Regards,
Mike

Was jsut asked if I wanted to go up to Iceland for a week. I know that Cheeseburger will taste mighty fine now, and I don't mean a mutton burger either. That was my first assignment back in the 60's never lost anything there and have no kids to go visit so I will stay homeand enjoy a Cobra ride.

The run to Snoqualmie sounds good to me. Gotta do some manuevering to make it, but it may be do-able. Where and when do you want to hook up?

I'm In
If the weaather holds, count me in.
A big fat burger mitten cheese and power pork sounds good to me, at Smokie Joes in Snoqualmie.... ummm good.
The drive is half the fun too.... at least from the north end anyway.

Coolest Drive
Jay,
I suspect you would be talking about the Novelty Hill Road to West Snoqualmie Valley Road to NE 80th to NE Carnation Farm Road to 203, to Fall City, then up the hill past the falls to Snoqualmie? Thats a rather pleasant drive without much traffic.
Zderf
PS How about Neal M's invite on the return?

Fred, thats the route I had in mind. How about 11am at Safeway,
17246 Redmond Way (Take 520 to Redmond Way, go left 2 blocks). I would love to see Neals 40. Jay

Garage is open...
If you come down 202 you can come up on Duthie Hill road on to the plateau. I'm about 5 minutes off of 202. Email and I'll send directions.

Well, as of this morning's weather report, Saturday looks like partly cloudy and Sunday says rain.
I vote for Saturday.

Saturday May be Best
Here is the NWS extended forecast as of 1:30pm today:
SATURDAY...PARTLY CLOUDY... PATCHY MORNING FOG... LOWS 35 TO 40... HIGHS 55 TO 60.
SUNDAY...MOSTLY CLOUDY... LOCAL MORNING FOG... LOWS NEAR 40... HIGHS NEAR 55
I vote for Saturday... if we awake to nasty weather, then postpone to Sunday. If its nasty, then postpone altogether.
I propose instead, a meeting time in Redmond of 10:30am, with a group meeting time at Smoky Joes in Snoqualmie of 11:30am. It will easily be 12:30pm before burgers start hitting the lips... we need a little time to see Neal's 40... Neal can you provide more specific directions beyond Duthie Hill?
Just my ideas on things.
Thanks.

Smokey Joes Tavern
Good point ....here's the scoop:
Smokey Joe's Tavern
38600 SE King St
Snoqualmie, WA 98065
It is 1/2 block south off of Railroad Ave (202) in the center of town and on the plaza where the train station sits. There is a gravel parking lot behind it, but we usually choose to curb park on Maple or Olmstead Ave. Those are residential streets right behind Smokey's.
Their bacon cheeseburger is in line for the world championships... but be sure to ask for the DOUBLE bacon cheeseburger (right Rich?).
The forecast has improved further for the Saturday venue:
THROUGH SATURDAY...NIGHT AND MORNING FOG. MOSTLY SUNNY
DURING THE AFTERNOON HOURS. LOWS IN THE 30S TO LOWER 40S. HIGHS IN
THE MID 50S TO LOWER 60S.
Neal???
