Dam!
Oh my Allen, it looks like they cut your car in half! Are you going to claim freight damage or poor packing?
So are you going to paint or polish that Polish?

Your to funny M&M I'm undecided as to if I will paint it, leave it bare or even polish it. If I paint it will possibly be black.

Head Count
Tim,
What is the head count and do you have any tentative schedule for arrival at PIR? Maybe we should all meet have breakfast and arrive at the same time?

M&M
We have seven that have signed up. I would like to meet for breakfast and rumble in together. We are kind of spread around town, & Washington. Any Ideas where to meet? They want all of the cars there by 10:00. I was thinking of getting there earlier in hopes of avoiding traffic. 8:30? 9:00? Maybe if we knew who was interested in joining us we could better pick a place to meet. Anybody interested in an extra parade lat to PIR?
Tim
FYI - Money and registration has been sent in but have not received the tickets yet.

Historic races - Is anyone going on Friday 7/11? They do not have the car show on Friday but it is fun to watch them practice and there is good Cobra parking. I will Probably work a half day then head down there.
There is also a car show at Clackamette park on this Friday starting at 5:00 and the Sherwood car show on Saturday. I have gone to the one in Sherwood a few times and it is a nice family event. Cars park around the neighborhood streets and they usually get a pretty good crowd.

Tim,
Trying to think of a good place to meet. The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is Elmers on Stark right off I-205, but that is not very central. Not good for anyone that might be coming from the West side. I can not think of anything off I-5 downtown area.
I should be able to hook up with you on Friday 7/11 and do the half day thing as well. If you are coming from West Linn we can meet at my work. Let me know.
The two shows this weekend might be a possibility.
Mike

I am hoping to go to the one Friday. I am not sure about Saturday. We have some family commitments.
On 7/11 I will be coming from work (Vancouver).
As for breakfast I am open to any suggestions. Kind of depends if others want to join. If it is us, elmers is great.

I am probably going to show up sans Cobra.... Again.... It is still sitting in the middle of my shop looking very lonely.
Looking forward to meeting the newcomers.

Breakfast????
OK, time to stand up and raise your hand..... Who wants to meet for breakfast on Saturday morning so that we can head in as a group?
So far:
Red ERA - Tim
M & M - Mike
After we see who gives a yes and determine where everyone is coming from we can coordinate a location. Presently the Elmers off the I-205 & Hwy 212 (Clackamas) exit looks like the most central between Tim and myself, but we can easily change that. I am thinking 8 am.

Did everyone who ordered tickets receive them in the mail?.
We are up to eight now. Is anyone going Friday? I will probably head down in the afternoon. I'm in for meeting on Saturday.

got'em & thanks
Tim,
I got the tickets and plan on coming both saturday and sunday. No car yet, but hopefully the car will at least be in transit. Last minute changes led to having it shipped instead of picking it up. In any event, living in the NW makes meeting off 205 quite a bit out of the way - so I'll try and link up with folks when I get there. I hope to meet some of the other members from pdx and the surrounding area.
thanks again for coordinating the tickets.
Scott
p.s. not sure if I mentioned it at Aldridges, love those 17" pse wheels.

Scott,
Let's wait and see if anyone else replies to this thread before we set a firm place to meet for breakfast. If others are interested we can alter the plan depending on where everyone might come from. We should decide on Friday where to meet, so everyone check back then for the final decision. Tim is on Pete's Mountain and I am in Happy Valley area.
Look forward to meeting you.
Tim,
I am still planning on running out on Friday afternoon so might possibly see you there.
Mike

Red:
Do you know yet where you're going to be located at PIR or some other way to locate you when you're there? I'll probably be out either Sat. or Sun just to drool over those who already have theirs.

Don - I am not sure where we will be this year. We had a great spot in the pits next to the tower last year. They put up signs with the club's name on them. Look for Club Cobra or ask one of the workers. They usually have a layout of the groups. Sandy said see would try and get us a good spot. She likes the attention they get.
Scott - it was good to see you again, I am anxious to see your car when it gets here.
I am open to other meeting places even if it is a longer drive. In fact that is a plus.
See you all this weekend.
Tim

I will be going this weekend but parking in the Oregonian's for sale section :-(
Anyhow, feel free to stop by and say hi or have a look if you know a potential buyer!

To RedERA
I am not familiar with this event. I would like to attend if it is still possible. I would only be able to attend on Saturday getting there around noon and stay until Sunday.
Can you advise me if there are still openings available?
Thank you for your time.

I called Sandy( the event coordinator). She isn't selling any more tickets. I wish there was a way for you to join us. If you do come, noon is kind of a hectic time in that all of the cars are staging for the parade lap. Earlier would be better.
It is a great event. You should still come up if you can. Lots of nice cars ,good racing and great people.
Sorry
Tim

Breakfast
Tim,
Well it looks like just the two cars for breakfast, plus Scott expressed interest. What do you think? You pick the time and place.
Also, anything you recommend to bring to the track such as folding chair, food/drink, etc.?
