Rich....

So Bish...
we meet at su casa bout 7am for a 7:03am departure?? That puts us waist deep in the Wiss at about noonish:03. Assume we go thru the "truck stop" crossing at Lynden.. then pick up 1 west from there, EH?

Perry...
how do I sound?

(Called Jenna and got VM. Will keep trying)

Respectfully,

Yup, it's Saturday, August 2nd.

If we leave here at 0700 we can be in Whistler easily by 1100 and sooner depending on how fast we want to go. But the drive up is half the fun so I guess there is no need to be in too much of a hurry.

We can cross at Lynden or at the truck crossing in Blaine, either is fine, (be sure to bring your passport or birth cirtificate as they are really sticky about it going into Canada) then north to The Trans Canada Hwy (Rt. 1) then West to Horseshoe bay and then North on 99 to Whistler.

Question Its Janice

Sure stumped the operator... "no Jenna works here she said"..... but I then turned on my best Canook talk and she knew where I had to go.. (the door!).

Anyway, Janice just took me money and we're set. They are ROPING OFF a special area underground as the snake pit. Nice.

Always,

Zderf

Derf,

Did she really tell you they were going rope off a "snake pit" for us? That would really be cool.

Well, don't know where I got the name Jenna, but I reckon it don't really matter. They sound like really nice and accommodating people.

Hey Fred...

"But the drive up is half the fun so I guess there is no need to be in too much of a hurry."

Got that? Boy, I took a ration from Danny this morning. He's worried about us.

Zderf,

That is cool, 'cuz I had nothing to do with the parking thing. It does mean they are into it. She said they hosted the Morgan club last summer.

We'll wait for you BB gas guzzlers while you refuel on the way up.

Well if Paul and Linda $ make it, that will be 15. I would imagine that Steve and Dennis may show up as well.

So Mike, are you gonna "moor" your land yacht here at my place on Friday night?

Oh Brent, we need an update. Wuzzup with your 390.

Smile Agenda

Bish,

That would be the plan. I figure I need to be up before or after the Seattle freeway I-5 rush hour, preferably before. If that works out you need to find a nice place for me to buy you (and Mrs.?) dinner. What is the latest I want to hit Seattle before the traffic gets jammed, 3 pm?

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Mike

Mike,

Not a problem. I rarely work on Fridays and when I do, never past noon! E-mail coming your way.

Default Seattle traffic.....

Hey Mike -

Are you going to be a 'carpool' (2 people?). If so, I would fully recommend cutting over to I405 as you get a carpool lane all the way to Lynnwood. Also, consider hitting Seattle area before 2pm if you can. Fridays get pretty crazy up thru Lynnwood and Everett. You'll find that Seattle was the easy part...... If you go home on a weekend day, I would also recommend 405 as well as I5 backs up from Northgate thru Downtown most days.......

Default Good Info

David,

Thanks for the advice. I am solo but pulling the Cobra up with Motorhome and trailer. I-405 still my best bet?

Thanks,
Mike

Default Awwwwwww - crapshoot.....

Hey Mike,

Pretty much a crapshoot if you're driving solo. 405 will bog a bit in Renton, Bellevue, Bothell, Lynnwood...... but 5 usually bogs by Boeing, Downtown (lose a lane, unless you go express lanes), North Seattle, then the previously mentioned Lynnwood/Everett traffic. My gut says to take 5 and the Express lanes. Once you hit Tacoma, pay attention to traffic reports. Watch for words like Boeing, Tully Roaster/Brewery - I5 traffic, or 'S' curves, Kennydale, 520, canyon Park for 405 traffic.

Hope it all goes well.......

David
