In answer Janusz first question, I'll guess the bumpers are upside-down.

Hey Fred, I just ran out to garage , pulled the cover off my car, and nope...no mud flaps. I guess it not a "WCC thing"... Not everyone thinks of the Cobra in the same way. To lots, probably most, an exact or as close as possible, is the way to go. I've seen some that cause me to drool, they're so beautiful. To others, like myself, it's a hotrod. I hope that doesn't mean we can't all be freinds. Personally I can't say I'm a fan of the mudflaps, but to each their own(maybe the owner drag races and they keep the rubber off the quarters). Anyway, I'm just trying to keep us straight in case I ever find the time to venture up North to participate in one of the many events you guys are always doing. If I don't fit in I'd rather know now and save the drive for another direction. No hard feelings, just wanted to know. Bill
P.S. Hot August nights in Reno, anyone from around here interested?

Good grief! I don't think I've ever seen anyone put the overriders on upside down before! (blue car and garage car)
I suspect the owners of these three "shining" examples have only some dim idea of what a Cobra is.
I'd give these three cars a 100 foot rating.......resembles a Cobra from 100 feet away.
This makes me want a beer and I don't even drink! Don't mean to be unkind, but yegads!

Bill
You are welcome to come up and join us on any of our outings. You can take my car apart and for everything you find wrong I will buy you a drink and then when you are done I will do the same on yours. I figure we will both be three sheets to the wind before we are done and both have a head ache in the morning. I'm not the person to slam another members car like some other owners have I just thought it was weird to have mud flaps on a COBRA. Next thing you will be seeing the little light they put in the front of the grill so other people would see you in the day light.
Fred Z
I have to agree but its someone else. and what is wrong with my "Y" Block?????

They are mounted correctly- everyone else has got it wrong.
I just went out and switched mine. They are great guides for going over railroad tracks, bumps etc.

Thanks Fred. About that little light, the guy on the JC Whitney Cobra tech line told me it was stock on all original Cobras. Now I'm wondering about the whale tail spoiler. Sure it looks cool, but does it really belong there? Bill

Hey Bill,
Where you been guy. Last time I saw you was on the Oregon Cobra run last summer.
Nobody around here slams the other guy's ride with a couple of exceptions. 1. If is Chevy powered (I'm getting a complex) and 2. If you are a clown who goes by the title of Back in Black. The latter had been crowing about his WCC for over a year and in the process has managed to insult and alienate nearly every one of us with his pompous and bigoted attitude. To hear him tell it we are all "Anal retentive Cobra purists" who just don't understand the finer things in life. I think the forum has been pretty respectful, when they could have easily started throwing bombs at his ride.
So why don't you make it up for our Whistler trip? Got plenty of room here if you want to come up on Friday.

I hate to point this out, but since y'all are fretting about over-riders being upside down an'all....
Your steering wheels are all on the wrong side!!!

Wilf,
It's just that we are Mirror images of each other. But it is strange to hear an English "Bloke" (what the hell is a Bloke?) using Ya'll.

I know Cobra's are supposed to be about "me me me me me" and heck with everyone else, but,
here in Illinois we have stuff like gravel on the roads, often at intersections of 2 lane blacktops, kicked up there from the shoulders.
Common courtesy almost cries out for "mudflaps", better known as kickstops for gravel. I don't like being behind semi's sans trailers and sans "mudflaps" kicking up road debris into my windshield, and I don't like being behind some "me me me" clod who decides to kick up some gravel onto me as he spins away from a country intersection. I don't like it happening to me, and I try not to do it to others. As I said, common sense, common curtesy, common do-unto-others...
Just another point of view.

Yes still going--car goes in for a complete check up , etal. on Friday.
I'm not a mechanic so I'm having everything gone thru--it hasbeen running slightly hotter than usual and I am getting some noise from the rear end? concerns me somewhat--
Leaveing here on the 16th--probably will put the car up for sale after I get back--I really would like to get a SPF coupe can't afford both -lol

Hey Bishop, just saw your post. I pass in and out of here, I must of been "passed out" and missed it earlier. It's OK if someone wants to pick on my car, you've seen it. I never was a show and shine type, or my car either for that matter. Although I do remember in the bar when you bought me that drink and you said you thought I was pretty... Seriously I would like to go to Whistler, or lots of those other cool (literally eg: Idaho) places you guys go. Someday when the kids are old enough to have a party because "mom and dad are gone", and my wife goes blind so I can turn the heater on real hot and tell her it sunshining (maybe a heat lamp mounted on top of the windshield-another light on a WCC?), then, if they still sell gas, I can go. You all have a great time. Don't drink any of that Canadian beer. I think they put extra alcohol in it so their women look good Bill
