What a morning!
0500: sun coming up, not a cloud in the sky, deserted roads, Hawaiian shirt, topless Cobra...life is good.

Rich,
Got up at 0400: Temperature already 81 degrees. No clouds. High today forecast for 104 with high humidity. Hot wind blew all night. Made me feel as if I was back in Santa Barbara and in the Santa Ana Winds. To hot and humid to drive much. Want to trade days ?

Ron & Bob, what can I say...no one gets sympathy from Seattlites over their weather. I just checked the morning paper...the forecast for Western Washington today is: sunny- high 91, low 58.
Did I die in my sleep last night?

Yeah, well here in northern IL it's 75 and sunny. I got up at 0600, then drove the Cobra to work, worked for two hours and drove the Cobra home. And I'm off for the afternoon. It's a beautiful thing.

Rich,
I didn't know that you had whole days of sunshine in Seattle. I was at Ft. Lewis for almost a year and I think it rained a little every day. Beautiful country but that rain was just to much. It will most likely rain tomorrow. We have cool weather coming for the weekend. High just in the 92-97 range. Cobra bunch barbecue Saturday.
Ernie,
You always have nice weather. I don't think Hawaii should count in the nice days race. I wasn't there long but I really liked the weather the little time I was there. Not to hot and beautiful.

Hawaii doesn't count. Picture this...beautiful day, no traffic, Cobra's wide open for 12 seconds and then you have to turn or run into the ocean.

Great descriptioon Rich. That is why Ernie is so good at the race track. He has to turn all the time anyway. Maybe big tires that will float would give him more room to drive.

What a Day!
I hear record temp today in Portland....... 98 degrees!
Hot one for sure. The Snake performed flawless in the afternoon heat at 180 to 190 degrees engine temp. in stop and go traffic.
Where's my cold beer!

Got up at 0630, at work by 0700.
Wasn't much fun so I called the wife to see if she wanted to go to the baseball game. Called it a day at lunch. Left work to get the wife and headed to the game. About 75 degrees most of the game. Home team won. Came home. Took nap for 90 minutes.
Good day.

..and depending on which way you go around the island, it's always a left turn. lol
I withdraw my nomination for "nice day". I'm in first place for "short drive" however!
Ernie
Sorry for posting so late, I been out making left turns all day.

Friday 0500: one more time...sun coming up and warmer than yesterday, not a cloud in the sky, deserted roads, different Hawaiian shirt, & topless Cobra.
Holy crap...another fabulous day! The only reason I bring this up is that it's almost unheard of to have any nice days in June around here, much less, a whole week (boyz & girls, think back to last year's GICR and getting rained & snowed on in June).
What makes today even better is I'm outta here at 0800 and headed for the cabin to fix the dock (stand in the lake all day) and get the place cleaned up for a bar-b-q with Mr & Mrs Zderf tonight.
Y'all have a great weekend!!!

0520 here and it is going to be a great day. It got all the way down into the mid 60s last night and is only supposed to be 101 today and just 96 tomorrow when we have the barbecue. I may have to wear a long sleeve shirt in that cool weather.
Rich,
Enjoy those days. Rain is coming.
