Default Fall in the NW

Man alive. No one seems to want to post on the NW site. When are we doing lunch again??. Patti, Craig, me and my daughter Haley are back fom Milwaukee on the harleys, I need to see if I can remember how to shift the Cobra. So..... Whats up?
anything planned?

P.S. Do you have to live in Gig Harbor to pull a Wally? I was out of town for that thread.

Keith,

if you'll read that entire thread, you'll see that the whole "pull a Wally" concept was rendered inopperative... it might as well be "pull a Bob, pull a Rich, yadda yadda"

Crosley now resides in Texas with a Lister as a stablemate. I'm on safari for an SBC/Healey and no doubt clan Vincent suffers from a group case of chaps chafe. There. we're all caught up to date.

Hey Keith,
Glad ya'll made it back on them Hogs. Can you still feel your butt?HaHa.
You saw that the Winthrop run didn't happen.
I traded my son today, he took the cobra out this afternoon and I took his crotch rocket, plenty fast, but too bent over for my old bones.
Bev took our smooth girl Maggie out to a sheep herding trial in the valley yesterday, passed both trials and got her HT certificate,so all her hard work payed off.
You south end guys need to get Bish to organize a lunch run to Widby Island next weekend so us northern guys can meet up with you.
Perry.

Perry,
Hope you are taking good care of my little girl. Hate to have to have someone come by and see you about it. What is going on at Whidby Island??

Didn't Bev say that she wanted to spend the holidays in Hawaii this Christmas?

See ya,
Dad

Dear Waldo,

Somehow pulling a Wally just has a certain ring to it.

By the by is there a Healy replica club? After all one couldn't really call a Healy an original with a small block American motor in it could they? Hope you can find one with Ford engine so you would be even a little bit welcome at NWCC functions.

Chap chafe is cured by liberal amounts of Bag Balm and what ever local microbrew is available. Please don't mix before applying.

Keith, I would love to hear about the Harley trip but I don't have the six months it would take to do it! I actually followed it on the website. They did a great job of covering each of the routes with daily photo posts and updates. I kept looking for clan V in the photos but I guess they figured America wasn't quite ready for you yet. BTW what color was your hair?

Yes, there is a Modified Healey club and most regional Healey clubs welcome them as do both the WA and OR clubs. the way I look at it I now get to inflict myself on three groups... YOU (whether you want me to or not is irrelevant), the Healey club and (if I get one with a 327 Vette engine) the Corvette club. Oh happy day!

Seriously, I would like to hear about the trip, let's hoist a few at the Tides one of these evenings.

Wow, I didn't realize that there were Cobras this close to me. I live in Keyport and have been running with Fred Hamilton and friends from the Tacoma/Federal Way. The days are numbered before the NW rain sets in and I am anxious to get as much road time in before I put away the Snake for winter. I would certainly bite at the opportunuity to make a run over to Whidbey Island. Heck Fred might even accelerate the break-in of his new motor. It sure sounds ready to rumble. Maybe a post on the NWCC site will generate some interst.

Hi guys,

Would love to put together a run, but I am up to my eyeballs with football (I referree High School). Maybe on the spur of the moment in the next couple of weeks, ya never know.

BTW, when we get together next I will regale you all with my Rick Neuheisle story. The ex Husky coach is now the QB coach for the Rainier Beach team and I did the Sedro Woolley/Rainier Beach game last Friday night. Had his side line. Interesting evening .

Glad the clan V arrived home safely.

Bish

I know this is about 3 months less notice than usual for an NWCC outing, but how about a get-together at Red Hook this Sunday? Seahawks are on a bye and the weather is supposed to be, "Mostly sunny and warm High 71° F / Low 51° F". Sounds like a recipe for Cobra fun...

So, who's in and who's going to Wally s'il vous plait?

Rich

Default Hey Waldo?????

Now, I have a question of definitions and ethics for the group. I had a meeting scheduled for Friday and made the mistake, today, of saying “I’m pulling a Wally”. This was at work. I then had to define a “Wally” and as well use it. (I work with many mothers of small children)

Now here is the conundrum.

Was that a real “Wally” or just a replica of a “Wally”. I guess I could agree that it wasn’t an original Wally. I was out of town for the original post. Somehow it always troubles me as to the difference between an ‘original’, a ‘real’ and something produced later that usually seems at as good.
I figured that this Club Cobra web site has the distinction of being able to help me out as the members have had significant occasion to deal with it.
