Default Wow What a day!

Dear Mr Fred Hamilton,

You Sir are a bad influence. Last year I convinced Patti that the careless lack of regard that we drive with near Hoods Canal was the result of a need to rub the tire worms off the rubber. Don't think she bought it, but it wasn't discussed again.
Then came the little stunt of yours getting on the freeway last night. All she could say is "boy they went past you (me) like you were standing still". Now, I can't afford one of them expensive Y blocks or Brent in his big 'ol 427 SO, So I guess I just need to get a bigger head start.
What a great day. All of those cars that stayed in the garage yesterday missed out of a good day, great weather and Brent was even there in his car. WOW !!!

Keith

Yes it was a very good day to be out and about. The wife even said she got her vette up to about 100 coming on the freeway, of course I said I never got up to that speed. You can't beleive anything that Steve T may say either. The drive was a good shake down for the car and the weather was great for being late Sept in the NW. We will have to keep up on the weather and maybe we can get together on your side of the Sound for another ride. By my calculation I put on 150 miles on the front tires and 1500 on the rear.

Arrow From the OTHER Fred

I was followed home by a cop... so I didn't get to do crap (I think his name was Jake).

Yeah what a day for sure.... and to parade into Snohomish with about 15 Cobras I think added to the day for the show goers. I heard there were 700 cars there.... oh, 715...

So here we sat at a light whilst I practiced my over-the-shoulder photography skills.....

Thanks to all for coming!!

Now that's just good photography.

I was amazed at the turnout, especially the people and cars I hadn't seen before. It was great seeing everyone!

Is there one more cruise in this weather pattern?

Rich

An absolutely astounding day! I finally got to see everyone after such a long time away from the group, and that was the greatest treat I've had in months!

I think both Fred and I got a nice shakedown in for near the end of the driving season, and all was good after 150+ miles of spirited driving. I thought the day would be short though....As I was leaving the Olympia area, I looked at my odometer to see the mileage and it read 0666x and all that I could think of is that my Cobra is possessed by the devil and I may not be coming home. Whew!

Man, my son never stopped talking about yesterday. That's an amazing thing because he rarely says more than 5 words a day. I put 200 miles on the car and loved every minute of it. When the FIA car showed up that was indeed the highlight. Of course 15 snakes rumbling down the highway ain't bad either. Keith I hope I didn't leave too much carbon in the air as I blew by you on I-5. Great event, lets do it again. Brent hurry up and get the pictures posted.

Had an excellent time. My wife was delighted with the whole affair. That is a plus, as it was her first outing with the club. I think I will get to come out and play again. She actually was thrilled when Fred, went into his standing start, left turn, in front of the ARCO, on the way up. I got to chase one of the Chevy SS cars, from the show, up the hill, leaving town. It was kewl, to hit 4th, as I blew his doors off at just a little over, the posted speed. "Those kids, and their Chevy's!"
Sundays are good for me, as I have that day and Mondays off.
Thanks for a great outing...
