Portland Historic Races
The people that put on the Baxter - Portland Historic races had a meeting last night to reveal some of the changes for this year. I have been waiting to hear the details on the event.
The Races will be July 9,10,11
Car Corral wills be open on the 10th & 11th
Prices are the same as last year $35 for 2 people, 3 day entry , and 2 day car corral passes
Motor home parking for the weekend is $150 and includes the package above.
New for this year:
Auto cross will be held both days for the cars registered in the car corrals. They are suggesting a $5 donation to a children cancer org. (I will get the name later) for each run. They will set aside times for each car club to play. Helmets and seat belts are required. It was emphasized that this is a for fun event.
They are also moving the car corrals to the inside of the track. I was told they have flattened more of the infield and that all of the parking will be on grass and with more shade and trees.
The mid-day parade laps will leave and enter from the infield pit area.
They will send out more information in the near future and I will post it when I receive it.
I hope you will mark your Calendars for this event. It is a lot of fun.

Time to Sign up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We have to have our head count and $$ into Sandy by June 1. I would like to have everything gathered up to mail to her by the middle of the month (5-15) which is fast approaching. Come join this great event. Several of the portland area FFR group members are planning on joining us. There should be lots of great cobras and great people this year. Email me and I will send you my address so you can send me your headcount and $. When I receive the tickets I will mail the to you. We have done this event for the last five years a it really is a fun event.

I have been pretty busy this winter, I miss the Cobra outings so I am hoping to get it finished by June 1st.

Brent
You better come down in your Cobra this year. I am anxious to see it . Looks like a beautiful car. Do I get to sit in it??????
I was going to do the sign ups like the past years. Email me and I will send my address to you. Then you can mail me the check and your address. I will collect all of the names and money and send it off to Sandy who coordinates the event. She sends the tickets/passes and info back to me and then I mail them to each of you.
Hope you all can make it.
I just drove through your (general)area up there this weekend. Was visiting my wifes family north of Seattle, Spent Friday evening and Saturday playing in downtown Seattle. Had a great time up there but you can keep the traffic .

portland historic races
are we going to set up next to the PIR tower as in years past. do not want to get stuck on the other side of the track all day, plus you have to be there before 10pm to get parked in corrals as they are in the paddack area to the north of the track this year.

I have been told all of the car corrals are in the center of the track this year. You will be able to get out between races.
