Default Oregon Cruise

It was great seeing the contingent that made it to Bend. Too many laughs to count, I'm still trying to process it all. Too bad a few cars/occupants had to forego our leg of the loop but maybe we'll get to see everyone on the Whistler trip. Deni and I really enjoy you guys and hope to continue a long history of hanging with the snakes. Hope you all had as much fun as we and had a safe, uneventful drive home.

Thumbs up Great Time.

Bev and I had a geat time seeing everybody again.
Many thanks to Fred for his hospitality on the way down, get well soon. The run into the redwoods was fun.
Also a big THANKS to Walt and Deni for opening up their beautiful new home and hosting friday evening!
Sorry we had to head home a day early, was still concerned about the rocks tearing up my C-6 ,would've loved to hit the tram/dinner,maybe next time. We managed to overheat in the 95* heat coming into Gresham and the traffic jam at Tacoma, found a way around it,had to keep moving air through the rad. Got to the Lynden border and had the U.S. customs checking everyone with a drug sniffin' dog, got a big smile and a 'That car's too noisy' from a couple of them. My ears are still ringing from the 9 hour run from Bend and the old back will survive with a couple days rest. The old gal got us home, got 13 mpg going at 65 mph home but only 10 trying to keep up to the pack!
Perry.

We also made it home safe and had a great trip. It was wonderful getting to know everyone a little bit better. We are looking forward to next years trip already!
Thanks, Walt and Deni for your warm hospitality....your place is right out a magazine (No Walt, not the ones on the top shelf in your closet ) P.S. Walt the new record from Bend to Puyallup is 4.5hrs. No Bish, we did not get stopped by the darn WSP!

Perry...

Glad you made it back OK. Now you know one of the reasons why we left Tacoma. See you in a few weeks in Canucklehead land.

Jake...

I hate it when tall people go in my closet. 4.5 hours! You must have had a WSP escort. I knew you guys stuck together.

Maybe we'll see you all at next year's kayak races.

Walt

I go in for a MRI in the morning and after that I will find out what the plan will be. I know this for a fact Winding roads Willing Cobras and a torn right shoulder rotator cup don't mix. I guess I am only suppose to plan these not enjoy them. My understanding its back to Canada next year. Banff, Lake Louise, Hot Springs great roads and great people and since their money isn't real it really doesn't cost that much.

Hey all,

Had a great time! The bend area is the perfect venue. Really enjoyed the "Run" though the Cascade Lakes Loop.

Headed out with Jay and Dolly at about 6:30 and rolled into Mill creek a little after 1. Had the trip spoiled by the darn WSP just south of Seattle. I was rolling along at about 75 when I became aware of a WSP cruiser dogging me. He caught up, pulled along side and just when I thought he was going to get techinical about my speed, he smiled and gave me a thumbs up. Took some of the fun out of hating the bastards!

See ya all in about 3 weeks in Whistler.

Bish

Default Oregon Cruise

Hello Everyone,
Gail and I made it home Saturday afternoon just ahead of the rain and without any problems. Glad to hear that Fred, Perry and Jake did as well. The trip was just fantastic. I loved purring along those winding scenic back roads with my foot half into it. What a thrill. I can't wait til next year. We are going to venture up to the Kimberly area in a couple of weeks with the golf clubs (they'll be riding in another car). We've been in that area before. It's beautiful and the roads were made for Cobras. Gail and I had just a great time and enjoyed making many new friends.
Jake, what is the name of that polish you were telling me about?
Good luck with the shoulder Fred, no power shifitng til it's better.

Marshall

Marshall, the polish we talked about is Tech Wax by Meguires. For anybody else I have not talked to about this product.....It is the best wax I have used. Easy on and off and it is very reflective. It works great on dark colors. Good luck, let me know what you think.

Default Fellow waxer

Fred, I know that Zaino is a great product but it is mail order only, it takes a good 7 coats to work good, and it is a little expensive. The Tech Wax is a easy, cheap, and easy to find product that only takes about 20 minutes to put on and rub off. No, I will not be getting a check for the endorsement.
Try it on a daily driver and see what you think.

Unhappy Your Right Jake

Zaino's is a tad expensive. And it does take quite a while to complety transform a car's finish. Heck, I have probably 40 - 50 coats on the tupperware tub....

I'll try Tech Wax on my daily driver, and will give you your endorsement fee at Whistler.....

Speaking of seeing you.... how bout Dyno Day????

Best Regards,

Zderf

Fred, I have bad news. I will be out of town on the dyno day and we have plans for the Whistler weekend. On a better note, stay tuned for a cobra run to the mountains and an open house at the Greger estate.
