Default ceramic coating

I just had my headers and side pipes recoated in a therma chrome by my powder coater. It is the same stuff performance coatings uses. It looks great and only cost me $200.00 for everything.
If anyone wants his information let me know. The turn around time is about two weeks. He can get them done in a week but he doesnt want to rush things.
I can e-mail picks if you want.
Matt

Thumbs up 'Those look great!'

I see you are another one of those 'Highrolling Classic Roadsters' owners! ( please read the 'Fund drive tally' thread).
Those really look good. Therma chrome, huh? Any local powder coating co should be able to do it?
Spanaway Wa, I've been there, I was stationed at Ft Lewis back in the early 70's. How was the 'Pully-up' fair this year? lol!

Thanks

Well JDog
I am sorry to hear you were at Ft. Lewis. LOL
I have 9 years left till I can tell the Air Force where to go. The fair actually started yesturday. I have been here since 93 with a 2 year trip to Turkey and not once have been to the fair. The ol lady is making me go next friday.
As for the therma chrome it is a paint so I dont know if just any power coater can do it. There the ones with the ovens large enough to back the stuff.
It bakes for 1 hour at 400 degrees. So just check around. Most of what Kens does is mail order. So he can do your if you want. I will say this though. If you want it done do not get a set of chrome pipes. They have to blast the chrome enough to get the paint to stick to.

Default Raw Pipes

My pipes & headers will come raw & unpainted, so I will need to do something. I want the chrome look. I wonder how durable this is compared to ceramic coating?
Yeah, I got out of the Army in 73' and stayed in Wa for 10 more years. Moved to Seattle & went to work at the 'Lazy B' Boeing. My wife got her BS in Nursing from the 'UW' 'Go Huskies!' She's retired now, damn it all! I'm to lazy to retire, my wife has too many honey do's for me at home. I go to work on Monday to get a rest! lol!
In the early 60's I did almost 2 years in Turkey. My dad was a civillian contractor working on contract for the Air Force, back when we had 'Nukes' in Turkey. I still don't like for 'Turks' to touch me with their left hand!
Alismiledic (SP) You know what I mean! lol!

therma chrome is ceramic coating. It will scratch it you hit it hard enough. My pipes were chrome and I got tired of cleaning them and removing the discoloration. Plus I like the look of the therma chrome better. It has a good shine but not blinding like chrome.
