Default Tacoma Dyno Day

I posted this idea before the site took us back in time.
But here is the deal.
My engine builder is wanting to dyno tune my car. We can get access to a dyno machine for a day or a full weekend. The more people we get the cost of the dyno would be cheeper. If you want any tuning work done He said we would have a time card per car he works on so you only pay him for the amount of time he wrenches on your car.
We were thinking the time frame should be sometime in late march early April. that away we are ready for the summer.
If you are interested let me know and we can make this happen.
Matt

Matt,

Depending on the final cost, I would be interested.

Matt, I agree with Steve. I would love to dial my car in, but cost is a factor.

Matt,

Sounds good to me also. Do you have an estimated cost? Or an hourly rate? Thanks for setting this up.

Okay as we do some more talking we can get our hands on a protable "mustang Dyno" also the cost will be less but the numbers are less then a floor dyno.
so I will see what deal the tuner will cut us for an hourly rate and I will talk to the two dyno guys and see if I can get some $$ figures there also

Is this the one you are looking at?

I've been thinking about strapping the 64 to it. Would be cheaper to do it as a group.

Matt,

Have you made any progress on the Dyno Day? I'm still interested.

Turbo Tech is just off South Tacoma Way and 56th and costs $49.95 for the first pull and ten for each additional pull. I have heard of the portable dynojets charging $110. per pull.

Here is an email I got back from Turbo Technology.

Craig,
We do offer discounts for car clubs. To hook the car up and include a first run I charge 35.00 and while the car is on the dyno 10.00 for each additional run. If someone want to tune we ask that they run there cars towards the end of the session. We also have air fuel available if there is a bung install prior to dyno day. (25.00) Our regular price is 49.95 plus 10.00

I was over there today. The dyno is down for an upgrade to 1500hp. Not that we have to worry too much. Should be online again tomorrow. The weather looks broke to me so I will be doing it this week.

I went over yesterday and did a pull. I was puking fluid past a piston in the valve body so overdrive kicked in and spoiled the pull. I was getting 201hp to the wheels and 284pftq at 4805 rpm at that point. Crapola! It didn't do anything nasty to the transmission but I was planning on tweaking a new valve body anyway and rebuilding the aod with aode guts for a wide ratio gearset. Then it will get another pull. For now it isn't a problem since it only happens at wot at 110.

It came to 53.35 but we can cut ten bucks off with a group rate.
