Default Vin verification

Okay guys I am needing some help here.
I was just informed that Colorado (my home of records) just passed a house bill that kit cars and bikes now dont have to run emissions test in the state of Colorado. Well after talking with the DMV back home and getting the paper work figured out on what I need to do since I am out of state I noticed that I need a vin verification from the local law inforcement.
I remeber from the red hook run that there was a few guys there that were in the law enforcement there (but for the life of me I cant remeber who) . And was wondering if on the next time we have a run if anyone would be willing to verify the vin on the car to the vin on the title and the paper work I have to send in and fill out two little lines.
By doing this I will have colorado tags and not have to deal with WA emissions standards.
Thanks a bunch guys
Matt

You might try the WA DOT inspection stations call them make an appointment and explain your dilema...service member, car is registered in your state of record, change in CO law re: your car...they may do it for a nominal fee.

For a what it's worth when Ibrought my car here to be registered i had to have my vin verified by the state patrol office. I had it done in Bremerton took all of about 10 minutes... and about 30 min. of bs'ing with the officers that came out to look it over after I "rumbled " into the the inspection garage
