I'll put 8,000 miles or so on my Cobra, and only going as far as Reno/Sparks for WSCB this Spring. Otherwise, just cruising my little corner of the world, from San Diego to Palm Springs to Malibu to Beverly Hills to Santa Barbara. Different destinations each trip of course.

HighPlainsDrifter,
I think all the runs on the list where great. Chuckanut drive is also great. I a have good friends in Bellingham, Greg&Cathi O:Connell. Greg has a real Shelby Mustang H. I think the two of you have talk together at some point.
I well not be at WSCB this year but hope to go next year. I know some one up your way got some much water in there Cobra on the way home from the Reno Cobra bash they drill holes in the floor. Well be in Bellingham this summer with the Cobra seeing Greg. Mybee we could go on a curise?

My first 2007 event will be this Friday's Santa Monica Sports Car Club Rally. Here's the info:

"Start off the new year with a rally! Come join us for the First Friday Niter this Friday, January 5th. Rallymaster Joanna Paden has written a very lightly trapped rally that heads across the Santa Monica mountains to Pacific Coast Highway and then to the finish in Camarillo. The rally finish is at Round Table Pizza on Arneill, north of the 101 freeway.

Usual time and place: registration opens at 7 pm, beginner meeting at 7:40 pm, first car out at 8:01 pm, B of A rear lot, Sepulveda and Devonshire , Mission Hills"

The next FFN will be February 2nd. Then the first ITN Monte Carlo Rally is coming up. Here's the info:

"Feb. 10, 2007
TRAINING WHEELS
6 hour Monte Carlo style navigational Road Rally.
with 2 hour Navigator training class.
First Car out at 2:01pm.
Start will be in the Escondido area.
Entry fee $10. ($5 for beginners, free is either person in the car is a first timer.)
More info soon. (Details subject to change.) see Welcome to ITN Rallye Club Home Page for updates."

I guess I'm too competitive for the car show type events. I love to beat the Subaru and Porsche teams. Thank goodness my kids are out of the house and there's more room for the trophys!

Paul

Paul,
Sounds like you guys have a great rally coming up on friday night. My dad was from Santa Monica. My frist ride in a sports car was in 1952 TR2 in Long Beach. We moive to Seattle in 1956 and I saw my frist Cobra at Kent racway park in the early 60. Kent is now called SIR. I think the driver was Tom Workman from Calif? Have always loved sports cars. Nice looking Cobra Paul.

Wscb in May
Possibly Mile High Cobra Club Cruise Colorado in July ( 4 or 5 days)
Snakes to the Lake with the Bay Area Cobra Club in Sept.
Won't be doing London this year, just too far to travel for a 3 day event. Had a great time last year though.
That's about it for the majors although I still have a ton of room on my calendar.

I told Greg I would bring the Cobra up this spring or summer well have to get together with Perry from Surrey. I WELL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I GET UP THAT WAY. I cant go to the Cobra bash this year but Greg and I are going in 2008. I well see if Gary A. can come up to see your NAF as Gary also has a NAF. Gary just put his new Webers on his small block, cant wait to hear how sweet it sounds

Default Thanks Mike

Good to hear from you !
We've done several trips your way but haven't hooked up yet, Bev and I cruised the Redwoods to the Napa valley in 2005 on the way to Reno. Would like to do the snakes to the lake run also ,maybe in a year or two when I retire.
Perry.
