Default Regular meet & greet place

Since we all had such a great time this past Friday thanks to Jake putting the "eat and run" together, would anyone be interested in meeting at a regular place and time each week?? I would like to see us all get together more often even if it's just for a couple hours on Friday or Saturday evenings.
Let me know if your interested and some ideas of places to go.

Take care,

Ray

Ray,

I like the idea. It would give us a chance to get together to exchange ideas like engine tuning, exhaust mods and general "where do you go to get......"
We could limit the meetigs; say the summer months; July - September. As for a location, we would need to find out who would be interested, where they live and pick a somewhat centeral location and go from there.

Cool

Friday night is good for a short get together but would like to also get together more often for a Saturday/Sunday drive. I would like to go last. The looks and sounds of all your cars is to die for!!! I like to see all of the heads turn in amazement when the pack blows by. Some young chick asked me to marry her on the spot last Saturday. I would like to believe the Viper had nothing to do with it! I said that you would have to like polygamy, She responded emphatically, I love Polygamy!!!! The only thing I could think was where is Jake when you need him?

The get together is a great idea, this is something Jake and I have been trying to do for a few years. I have nothing against other car club but it would be nice to have a place of our own. There must be a place out there that would like our company for a few hours. All you smooth talkers need to find us a HOME.

How about Krispy Kream at Tacoma Mall? Are we looking for a place to meet and eat or just meet?

Hi Fred,
I saw your note and realized that we are trying to do the same thing here in this area by forming Southern Oregon Cobra Owners (SOCO)

Our first casual meet brought together about 6 or 7 Cobra owners and it was a great get-together.

My question is...What did Jake do to make your meet so much fun and interesting. Also, what factors is your group looking for that "Home" you want to find.

Your ideas can be a help to our new group.
Thanks, Ivan

I'm a 260 lb. retired cop. Is there any way we could focus on a location other than a doghnut shop?

Now, if ya'll were closer to Triple XXX in Issaquah, that would be a great place to meet on a Saturday afternoon/evening. Always lots of classics/hot rods there. We had a fairly good turn-out a couple weeks back with local FFR builders and two cobras.

Also, being this close to the mountains/pass, there's some great back/country roads to cruise on.

Ivan

I think we were just lucky to get that many cobras together on a Fri night. I beleive we had 8, I have had the Historics Races thread up since Apr and we only have 10 signed up for it. It seems its just a shot in the dark as to how many will show or even show an intrest in finding a meeting place.

Mastiff107

Its either pizza or burgers, I not real interested in meeting at Jenny Craigs,or Curves.

A little more North of Tacoma would help me...Friday nights heading south is a big problem.

This meet up can be on a Sat or Sun, lets not get stuck on Friday only.

Me thinks Saturday or Sunday would be better than Friday. On Friday we would be restricted to the evenings and as mentioned traffic on Friday evening is a real pain. A Saturday or Sunday morning or afternoon would ease that problem.

Well it looks like we have a lot of interest and could count on quite a few coming out on a regular basis. These things have a way of growing once the word gets out. From all of you that have responded it looks like Jim's idea of Krispy Kreme at Tacoma Mall would be a good central location. I also like the idea of Sat or Sun mornings. Fri nights can be a bear with all the traffic.
Why don't we meet at Krispy Kreme on Meridian this coming Friday and we can discuss it further. I e mailed the Mustang club because I was concerned we were taking over their deal but it turns out they don't have a problem with us showing up.
Sound like a plan?
See you all on Friday.

Ray

Count me in. I think it's a great idea. I agree with Fred that we need a place to call our own. Sat. or Sun. would be my choice as most (unlike myself) work Mon.-Fri. and Fri. night traffic is a nightmare no matter where you live.

Jim (Since my Cobra isn't done, am I still invited if I show up in a Corvette?)
