Fri night get together
Well we had a great time at our Friday night get together. Must have been 9 or 10 Cobras.....I forgot to count. Thanks to everyone that came out. First we got together at KK on Meridian and then a cruise through five mile drive at Point Defiance and then the White Spot Tavern for dinner. Everyone had a great time. We all discussed when and where we should meet and everyone thought it would be best to move around to different locations for variety and to better include everyone.
So next Friday it was agreed we will meet at X-treme Sound Car Audio At 401 N Meridian downtown Puyallup At 6:30-7:00 PM. It's just down the alley from the McDonalds. We will start there and then decide where to go for dinner and a cruise. My vote is a blast out throgh Orting and South Prairie.
Any ideas for dinner??
See everybody there.

We have friends in town from Texas, so we could not make it last night. It looks better for next weekend.

Unless you want to eat around 8:30 or 9:00 you may want to think about grabing a bite before the ride. We can always stop for a beverage along the way or the return trip.

Great time last Friday. I want to put on a cook out at my home in Graham for the club. If everyone could bring something simple, I will provide bergers and soft drinks. It would be nice to know about how many will attend. Everyone is welcome. I have plenty of parking and shade. Horse shoes and other games will be available. I'm planning a trip to Mt Rainieer as part of the day's events. Door prizes and a top prize of $100.00 to the peoples choice award for high points cobra. So shine Em up and let's have a party!!!! Looks like June 26TH.
I am working on a NW Cobra Club tour of Fort Lewis and McChord. More details soon.
***************
I would like to take donations to be presented to Fort Lewis from the NW Cobra Club to aid the families of our fallen service men and women stationed at Fort Lewis who sacrificed their lives in the service of our country.

Jim,
After looking over your "#98", why bother. Give yourself the award.
As for the cook out and Rainier Run; sounds like fun. Eileen and I would love to attend. Keep us posted.

Thank's Fred, I forgot to turn my calender. June 23rd
Steve, My car does not count since I am putting on the event. Besides, I'm too chicken to compete against all the club cobras.

Jim,
OK. The rest of us have a chance.
Any idea as to the time on the 23rd? We have an early afternoon grand-daughter birthday party.

Ray, Their is an old time style drive up dinner on the main drag in Buckley kind of like the A&W Root Beer places that might be a cool place to grab a burger Friday night! Just a thought.
Today I was running up Pacific Avenue on my way home and came up behind a beautiful tricked out vette. As soon as I got along side him he put the hammer down and made me look pretty stupid. Saturday night I watched Carrell Shelby's video called Cobra to Viper and I thought hummmm'. I got next to him at the light and said want to do it again? He smiled and said Yes. He beat me off the start as I missed second then I droped back into low and ved the viper. It was not even close this time. A streak of blue was all I saw as I went past him this time. At the next light he just shook his head, waved and turned off. Quite a rush! My cobra has a cold! I havent been able to get the duel quads tuned yet so when I hit it it chokes and sputters and when I let off the gass it backfires. We just finished putting in the motor at 4:30 friday night. Maby this week I can get it as it should be. I am no motor man!! If it was not for Kim Barr who buildes race engines for a living I would be lost! It would be nice to hear about exciting times others have had!!!!!!!!!

Jim........Both the drive in on Fri and the party on the 23rd sound great. The tour would be fun as well.
I'm thinkin we could be to the drive in up in Buckley by no later than 7:30- 8, so like Fred says, everyone will have to decide if they want to eat first or wait till then. We can always just get a quick snack and a soda.
******************
On the story side............It always amazes me how retarded some people act around me when I'm out on a cruise by myself. The other day I was on Canyon Road and this kid in a mid 80's Camaro came up beside me reving his engine and then the light changed and he turned to get on the freeway, got her totally sideways and almost ended up in the ditch. It's usually the kids in the imports with the sewer pipe exhaust that want to give me a run and some of them are pretty quick but 300 horsepower and front wheel drive just can't get the job done. I have given several of them a lesson in big block Ford power.
For the most part people are pretty cool. Makes me a little nervous when they come flying up behind me but I know they just want to see what it is.
Anyway, hope to see everyone on Friday. I hope the weather holds!

Well it looks like the weather will hold for this Friday. It will be a little cool but no rain till Saturday.
So does everyone still want to meet at X-treme Sound Car Audio downtown like we talked about?
Lets get out there!
