Default 1963 Pacific raceway

Found this footage of 1963 Pacific raceway footage. Look on web under 1963 grand prix movie. Then look at You Tube Pacific Raceway 1963 8mm movie. Google search.

If you can not find it let me know.
Jim

What a rush! I grew up in Seattle and went to those races all through the 60's. I brought back memories.

Later, in the 90's, I raced an 80's single-cylinder motorcycle at both the Seattle and Portland tracks and had so much fun I still vividly remember it. Every corner holds memories. Not dead yet!

Thanks for sharing.

Paul

Jim,
I was there at all the races. I had forgot there was no guardrail on the main stright. I had taken a great deal of flim with my dads 8mm Bolex. The guys would come to the races in there P51 and land on the main stright. Back then all the great names came Kent raceway park.

Thank you so much. It is probably because of my age at the time but IMO that was the golden age of auto racing especially Trans Am and Can Am. I doubt that in 45 years there will be historic races for the current cars. The only driver I don't remember seeing was Foyt ??? Great Times.

Default Wait there's more!

For fans of the shelby king cobras the northwest grand prix of '63 represents the first outing for the '63 cars. The same guy has 2 movies for that race including pit video of the Dave MacDonald car.

Very cool

Chuck
