Hey Larry,
Congrats on the new SPF! Who did you buy the car thru?
If you do a search on CC on insurance, you'll find a lot of info. Here's a recent thread:
Insurance costs
I went with NW Insurance, which is up your way. Great people to deal with.

I insure my FFR Roadster along with the house and two other vehicles with State Farm. It has been appraised @ $32,000 two years ago and the premiums are $110.00 every six months. The restrictions are it must be garaged and driven less than 3,000 miles a year.

Ditto for Robbin!
Easy to work with - good pricing - and yes now is the time for insurance.
I secured my policy as soon as the car was completed (with engine install) so that it was insured from the time it left the dealer.

I have SafeCo (thanks to Bish recommending) no mileage limits, only restriction is I can't drive it to work. ~$400.00 yr @ replacement cost of $60k. Replacement cost is where the real cost of insurance on the Snake comes from. Watch out some insurance places won't let you drive other than car club events. If you drill down some insurance company (especially the collector insurance companies) rules out coverage for the trip to Baskin & Robbins 31-Flavors with the kid for an ice cream cone.

Alwasy looking for a better deal so I checked out Robin's site. Seems like the standard Collector's Car insurance limitations from my experience. Here are the listing of restrictions:
-Mileage limitation applies in some states call for details .
-Insured vehicles not used for general transportation. (Sounds like NO Baskin & Robbins)
-Driving record of drivers is good (That's until you get the Cobra) :-)
-Work use of the vehicle prohibited. (Standard clause)
-Experienced drivers of 10 years.
-Stored vehicles are in a locked building. (No $hit are we insane?)
-Timed and racing events not allowed. (There goes PIR, but pretty standard)
SafeCo may be a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for--watch out. Plus during the winter (like 10-months in Seattle), I can place my Snake on Storage and the cost drops to $100/yr for full coverage in the garage. My-2-Pennies.
/Kevin
