Looking for a passenger for next Friday to Dyno
Ok guys, I am going to try to make it to the dyno up in Kirkland next Friday. I have not scheduled an appointment yet, so I have no idea if they even have a spot open yet. Would anyone want to come along? Of coarse I would love other cobra's come up there but I will have an empty seat if I can get scheduled.

Mark,
So far I'm free on Friday but I will know for sure by Wed. We could start a pool; whoever gets the closest for HP wins the pot.

The dyno shop is Carb Connection. They are in Kirkland.
http://www.carbconn.com/
They have a map on their web site. Looks like they have a new 4 wheel drive dynojet that can do all sorts of driveability tuning.

Depending on the install with Jakes engine and if I get off my back side and go get the car (haven't driven it since May) I could be up for it.

So far I got Ray and I signed up. Going to start at 1pm. Assuming our cars hang together, it may be fun to trek down to the XXX Drive in that I keep hearing about. I think that would be on the way home.
Dyno is 145 for baseline pulls. Then 125 an hour for tuning. No need to have bung welded into sidepipes for A/F ratio readings.

That sounds like fun Steve. You retires guys are so lucky. I can't have pot for another 19 years until I retire at 55! Have to stick with Southern Comfort and Fresca for now.

Mark,
Southern Comfort and Fresca? That is so sad.
The weather forecast for Friday is sunny and mid 80s and my schedule is wide open so I'll tag along however I will not need any dyno time. A stop at XXX also sounds good. Let us know where we will meet.
Fred,
If Jake gets his engine installed, he might want to join us

You guys should try The Horsepower Ranch ( http://www.hpranch.com/) in Maple Valley. John is very knowledgeable and has a great shop. He does the dyno on the side, so its nights and weekends for times. It's easier to get time on the rollers than at CC. If you haven't scheduled anything yet, you might call John and see what he can do.

What do you think Mark? Haven't heard of the HP Ranch.
Thanks for the tip Carman.

Ray,
I got the two of us booked at cc so we will go there for now. We should check out the Ranch sometime though. Have heard great things about them.

What time are you booked? My office is like 3 driveways past CC and I would like to stop by and check it out.

We are going to be up there about 1pm. We are meeting just off of 167 northbound off the exit before 8th street milton exit. Ray, what was the exit number again? We are going to meet at the exit at 12

Sorry guys, I was wondering when you guys would be at the XXX in Issaquah. I think you answered the time you are going to be at carb connection, right?
btw, took mine to the HP Ranch tonight. John is a super nice and knowledgable guy. It was a ton of fun to go through the process for the first time and car gained ~30HP after he was done and runs sooo much better.
Would love to compare notes to your experiences.

Tracy,
I don't know how long it takes to run a car but Mark and Ray both have appointments at 1:00PM. I would guess they would be done by 3:00PM at which time we would head to XXX. PM me your cell # and I'll call before we leave.

I am thinking that its going to be about 2 hours per car, but you never know. I think my car just needs a couple tweeks. Seems like it takes a while to get each car on and off and hooked up.
I think Ray should go before me because my car has broke the dyno the last two times its been on one....Wish it was because of the power of the car but it just seems that dyno's and my Cobra don't get along.

Mark Brye,
And the verdict is? Hope everything went as planned and the dyno was up and running.
