Default first steps

the latest update on my B&B Cobra.
I cheated some. The previous owner had it 3 years and did not complete it. I have had it since July 2008.
We put the new driveline and tru-trac diff in this weekend. Added fluids then the first drive. It was not far (~8ft) but was under its own power!!

goes to paint in about 6 weeks, now I have to make the big decision on color, how does one decide?

First off, congratulations on the drive.

Color? Choose what you like. Mine is yellow. Lots of people don't like yellow, but I happen to love it.

First pick a color YOU like, don't worry about being period correct, it is a replica, second pick a color that can be matched and repainted without showing. A lot of the colors are three part processes, sparkles and candy. Really difficult to repaint stone chips or other problems.
I spent months decideing on my color, I was building so the choice was not necessary immediately.
I picked a color to suit me, not the masses, and a color that can be "fixed".
just a .02.
Pictures of completed car soon.

Great video. You'll look back on that as one of the few times you drove the Cobra and didn't have to stop for gas.

Yep, that's pretty much an indication of what your fuel mileage will be.
As for color; pick the color you like.

Wow,
Well at least you didnt run into the door,Great move. I like yellow with black strips. or green with black strip, black with gold strips. I always look at colors on new cars to see what they realey look like out side, a paint chip is very hard to get feel for in the real world. My Cobra is blue with siler strips good luck, hope to see you this summer?
