Went bug smashing today
Woke up at 2:00 am this morning to get ready for work and decided to check the weather forcast. Well after reading that, I decided to not go to work and Karen and I took off at around 9:00 for Yakima, over 410.
It was a little cold until we hit the pass and then it was shirt sleeve weather.
Had a great trip and smashed the he!! out of the bugs.
Now it's back to work tomorrow.

John,
In my part of the country (Alabama), it's too hot to do much driving during the day. So I hit the road late this afternoon for a cruise in at a little town about 45 miles away. It was very warm on the way out, but the drive home at night in shirtsleeves felt great. I never check the bug count when I get home, but I'm sure there will be plenty when I look tomorrow. .... Life is good.

Sounds like fun John! Work is overrated anyway and will always be waiting for you.
I smashed a couple of bugs today. My wife and I took a drive up the coast from Santa Cruz on Hwy 1 towards Half Moon Bay. We turned around at Pescadero and then worked our way back through the mountains through Bonny Doon, Felton, and Scotts Valley. Great drive and perfect weather!

Was doing pretty good until we went out for dinner on Saturday. Had to start taking some pain pills then.

Ah Ha,
I see the reason for so many bugs. Your Cobra is yellow if that is the correct one I looked at in your gallery. When I had mine it was while and the bugs just came to it like a magnet. I couldn't drive two blocks without having them smeared all over it. Once at one of our get togethers a friend of mine who had a yellow one and mine were parked next to each other. I sweat not another one of those cars had a bug on them and ours were covered in them. He later told me that every time he drove it he felt he was pulling every but within a mile into the front or windshield.

A large, wet, colorful bug splats at exactly the spot on the windshield that troubles your focus on the road ahead...
