Hotels : West Portland/Hillsboro

Greetings from down south. --

I have to travel on family business this week/weekend to Portland/Hillsboro.

(funeral is Sat AM we think)

Wanted to get recommendations for hotels in Western Portland/ Beaverton Hillsboro area that were well-run and nice.

dont need to stay downtown, --- doesnt have to be a chain.

Ideas welcome

I have stayed at the Embassy Suites at Washington Square (in Tigard) a few times. It's pretty nice. I actually prefer the one downtown. Fewer kids downtown

There are every type of hotel you can imagine in the Hillsboro area these days. I guess it depends on your budget, but many of them are brand new so very nice. There are Marriot extended stay motels, Motel 6, and everything in between. You might consider contacting the Hillsboro or Beaverton chamber of commerce to get the names of some hotels and contact them for prices.
