Bisson Memorial
Just wanted to update everyone on the Memorial Service. It will be held next Thursday, Aug. 13th at 3:00 PM. The service will be at Lakewood First Baptist church located at 5602 112th St. SW. in Lakewood Wa. I will make sure that the Cobras have a special parking area and they will be in the procession. Jim (Race-it) will be driving Steve's Cobra. The more Cobras the better. If you have further questions feel free to call or PM me.
Jake

This was passed on from the Bisson Family:
Jake,
As I indicated in my first message, I am sending the service information on to you.
Service Info:
The service is at 3PM on Thursday the 13th at First Baptist Church of Lakewood located at 5602 112th Street SW in Lakewood. A reception will follow at the church. There will be a graveside service following the funeral at Mountain View Cemetery in Lakewood.
There will be a public viewing from 1PM to 7PM on Wednesday the 12th at Mountain View Funeral Home (same address as the cemetery).
In lieu of flowers Eileen is asking that donations be made in Steve’s memory to the Pierce Co. Chaplaincy Program, with donations being accepted on-line at TAPCOCU.ORG, at any branch, or by calling 253-564-7848.
Regards,
Matt

Thanks Jake for keeping us informed.
Not sure if I will have the Cobra back together by that time or not. Also Thursdays are my 12 to 14 hour days, with a late meeting that I'm not sure that I can get out of. I will however try.
Thanks again.

I just got notice that everyone that will be driving a Cobra in the procession needs to be staged at Mtn. View Cemetary (4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW. Lakewood Wa.) no later then 1:00pm on Thurs. If you would like to follow me out from my house, I will be leaving at 12:15pm. I would like to get a head count of how many folks will be driving their Cobras so I can arrange for parking. So please post if you are coming.
Thanks, Jake

Unless it is an absolute downpour, I'll be there with the Cobra. Andy and I will co-ordinate ones coming from this side of the bridge and let you know.

According to the latest weather report it's supposed to be partly cloudy and 75* on Thursday. Only 10% chance of rain so I don't think we have anything to worry about. I like Fred will be there rain or shine.
I will be at your place by noon Jake.

Jake,
I will plan on meeting you and the crew at your house with my Cobra.
Thanks for the work you have put into organizing this. The support that the "Cobra family" has shown for Steve and his family is impressive.

I have not had the time to replace the pan yet, so the Cobra is a no go. In fact I have had to call Blood Enterprises and make an appointment for them to do the work.
I'm unable to get out of work tomorrow as I have to take Monday and Tuesday of next week off to be with my mother for her surgery down in Portland.
Please pass along my condolences to Eileen.
Thanks.

What a great turnout. I'm sure Steve had something to do with the weather clearing up just for the service. He will surely be missed.

Thanks for the great turnout! I know Eileen was touched by the fact we brought the cars out considering the likelyhood that we would get wet. As it was, I only had to drive in about 5 minutes of rain back to the church. We missed the thunder shower while in the reception and the rain held off the entire way home.
I know I speak for everyone...He will be missed!
Jake

Very nice service. I'm going to miss Steve a lot.
Dave and I were not so lucky as far as the rain. I was behind Dave as we pulled on to 512 and at one point it was coming down so hard I lost sight of Dave and he was only 100 feet in front of me! It was like someone was pouring it out of a bucket. Sure glad I had the top on at that point.
Thanks Jake. It was fun being a part of the procession and a great tribute to Steve.

I guess I spoke too soon about the weather. I made it home with only a few drops of rain but Andy has spawning salmon in his footwells and he wants to know who stole his umbrella at the church. I'm glad/hopeful everyone made it home safely.
