Default ALL FORD EVENT

STEVE, I WILL BE THERE.

PAT & I WENT TO MID-OHIO LAST FRIDAY FOR THE SAAC OHIO REGION OPEN TRACK. YOU MUST MAKE THE ONE NEXT YEAR. THERE WERE COBRAS WITH 302, 351 AND 428 ENGINES. WHAT A THRILL TO STAND AT THE END OF TURN AND LISTEN TO THEM GET ON IT FOR THE STRAIGHT AWAY. RAISED THE HAIR ON THE BACK OF MY NECK. ALL OF THE COBRA OWNERS WE TALKED TO WERE VERY CORDIAL PEOPLE AND GLAD TO SHARE THEIR EXPERIANCES.
IF LEW PAYNE OF WISCONSIN OR ED & SUE PEZAK FROM THE SOLON AREA READ THIS, THANKS AGAIN!
LEW GAVE TREATED ME TO SEVERAL LAPS AROUND THE TRACK IN HIS COBRA

Steve, Loren showed me a flyer last night. It will be an "all makes" show.

How is the frame coming along?

Received your note about the shirts being on order. Just let me know when and I will pick them up.

Thanks

Items ordered should be ready in time for September 8th meeting.
I'll contact you as soon as they are complete.

The frame is a slow process. Things snowball and take on a life of their own!

I have to dry fit my motor for proper engine mount placement prior to painting the frame. This resulted in-

1.Tearing down the motor to make it more manageable

2. Building a beefy reinforced structure in my garage to support the frame for painting, engine for the dry fit, and the completed chassis while waiting on the body

3. Ordered PAR chassis paint

4. Assembled the rear end -gears, axles, disc brakes

5. Did you know only one place in Cleveland sells hardened machine nuts (not supplied with my rear end)

You know how it goes. I am learning to be patient! Besides, my body will not be complete until early next year.

My wife actually wants to make the trip to Marysville - They have excellent shopping nearby, so she says.

Default Ford Show

Cindy and I had breakfast at Cracker Barrel this morning with her brother and some of his friends that all work at Ford's in Brookpark. Their really excited about the interest in all of the Cobra owners showing up for the ALL FORD DAY on Sept.23rd. One guy is planning to buy or build a Cobra and thought this would be a good time to see several kits that he could compare and ask questions. From what they were saying, last year's show was a pretty good time. Hope we can have a nice turn out like we did at Berea.

All---
Les you ate at the Cracker Barrel
I thought they only allowed high class people in there.
I can see Cindy being allowed in---but--OH--now I get it --it was the Cobra--
Yup, Yup, I'll be at the show---and last nignt at Brunswick we met a few more Cobra owners--who want to join us--Were off and running--

Can't wait until the 8th--

Frank and I went to the Sam's club car show today---in Fairlawn.
Frank got 1st place in the modified division and the yellow stinger #41 got second. I saw Frank slip the judges $5.00, but don't tell him I shared that with you all.

OH, by the way--from now on--when we meet at Brunswick we need to all park on the grassy area--last night someone through Mud and mulch over the roof of Wendy's and it landed on Franks hood--made quite a mess--- So you can imagine someone was pissed---- I won't tell you who--But who ever did it was very lucky Frank didn't catch them-
Well later---
m

I have you know Mike that I have class, I passed on the grits at breakfast this morning! Hey sounds like you guys had a good time at Brunswick sat. Wish I would have come by.
Congratulations on your winning. You and Frank make us proud! Now if I would have been there it might of had a different out come, but since it's to late we won't go there! Mike I can just see Frank's reaction to the mud.
If you decide to do Brunswick this coming sat. ,let me know..I'll drive up! We had all better get as much driving time in as we can, cool weather will be here before you know it!

Default Come One Com All

At the risk of immediate expulsion from the Cobra Club, and a possible stoning, I'll be bringing a Chevy to the show!
1971 Mote Carlo

My chassis is just too heavy to push it Fred Flinstone style.

Seriously, please show up! We're onto something good!

See you there!

Exclamation Change of Venue

Due to the damned terrorist activities, Ford / UAW have cancelled the open house / car show on the 23rd.

We'd like to still meet in Berea, however.
I'd like to open my doors for a picnic and a short drive later in the day to the Berea Cruise-In.

Start at noon at my house (interactive map below)

Berea Cruise-In (Behind City Hall)

contact me at wadesdad@hotmail.com or 440-816-0816
for more help.

Question Ford's

Steve,
This is weird... Cindy's brother(who works at Ford's) told her yesterday (monday) that they gave the guys that work at Ford's, ticket's to the show with their paychecks this past friday. Maybe they made the decision to cancel after they had passed them out. It's to bad that this had to happen but understandable. I'll plan to come to your place and then to the cruise-in on the 23rd.

Frank..let me know if your still planning to attend. Mike and Frank are going to meet us at Denny's on Rt18 in Medina. The weather forcast looks good for this weekend.

Les:

Under the circumstances, I'm gonna pass. I'll be in Cincinnati the day before attending my grandtwins baptism so it would be sorta hectic running the length of the state. Maybe next time.

Frank,
That's understandable! Cindy and I are going to pass also. That's my birthday and we had plans and changed them for the Ford day, but since it's canceled we're going to go ahead with our original plans. Hope we can all get together one more time before cold weather sets in.
