It's Alive!!
Hey Frank,
Nice to see some life outta someone from Ohio! Was starting to think the mother ship swooped everyone up..
I sure hope everyone has been enjoying the beautiful fall weather! Had the Cobra out again today, just for cruise out in the country. A little windy, but for Nov. 4th, I'll take it!
Anyway, I'll be there for the meeting on the 17th, or whenever you can schedule it. When it's for sure, I'll call some of the guys who aren't on line as well. Just cuz winter is coming doesn't mean we can't still do stuff!
Hope all has been good with you!

Nov.17th
Count me in on the 17th. Just leave any details on this thread that you may have . Maybe Mike and Frank would be interested as well.
DV,
Do you know what you just did?? Your statement was just like sending a child into a candy store and saying ..."look but don't touch!" Your teasing us with comments like that. Seriously... if there is anything that the Ohio Cobra Club can do to assist you , just let us know!

Bummer!
I am just getting my Midstates frame delivered after Thanksgiving and was dying to see some local snakes. I'm new to it, this will be my first one, but it is a dream come true for me. Anyway, sorry I just found this site two days too late. Is there a group of central ohio guys who get together during the warm season? Hopefully, I'll have something to drive soon.
Take care.

WELCOME!!!!
Collinsboy,
May I be one of the first to welcome you to many new adventures.
The forum of course, one of the greatest new Cobra Clubs in the country and of course being a new Cobra owner.
If you need any help at all, this board will be there. Our little shop in just west of Columbus, and north of Lodon - right off of I-70. Please feel free to stop in anytime. (We've got a beautifull yellow Mid-States in the shop for sale - Jim Cain's) Or, give us a call at 740-852-5280 and introduce yourself.
If you haven't heard or read anything about the "Double Venom Spring Fling", by all means grab a cup of java, take and hour, maybe two, do a search, then sit back and read up.
Looking forward to meeting you at the next meeting!

Welcome!
cb,
As I'm sure you can tell from the posts, the Ohio Club is just getting started, with regional chapters. Keep checking in here for the latest updates. The next meeting will be in January.
Until then, if I, or anyone else, can be of assistance, don't hesitate to ask! This is a GREAT group of helpful, knowledgable guys.

Fellow OCC Members, DFSV Members... It's Monday and I have one thing to say.... WAHOOO!
We are now past step one, two, three, four, and five! Nothing concrete yet, but it is looking so good it is scary! Talked to the Tourism Board, Chamber of Commerce and the Mayor's office.
At this point it is 100% go! Tons of details to work out, logistics and who's going to do what, but it does look good. By the Jan. meeting we should have a full yay or nay. Keeping fingers crossed.

Thanks for the kind words guys. DV, where exactly is the shop off I70? I live in Hilliard actually. I spoke to someone in Central Ohio about his Midstates and he mentioned someone in London who was doing custom Snake work. Would that be you? Well, let me know, I'd love to stop in and see any Snake. The more of them I see, the happier I am. Now if I was just 6" and 50lbs lighter I'd fit better in them..haha

Collinsboy,
Tell me you didn't miss the Spring Fling!?
From Hilliard it's a piece of cake. Take 70 due west to the second London exit. Exit 72, turn right, first road, Old Columbus Rd., turn right, first drive on the left. If you get to the shell station you passed us. (We're next to Lake Choctaw if your familiar with that.

I'm afraid I did. I won't miss the next one though. My wife had a place on Lake Choctaw when she was a kid, so I've been in the area. Take care.

Collinsboy,
Didn't mean to ignore your question. Since I am the only known streetrod/cobra builder in the London area, I plead guilty.
We do a "bunch" of cobras from the mild mannered 302 up to the "Double Venom" using Viper GTS drivetrains. We also build a pot load of streetrods. We've got 5 Cobras under construction, two '34 Fords, and two '40 Willy's along with a custom Viper at the moment and one '63 Healey.
We're almost always open on weekends, and will probably be there this weekend too. Give me a call if you have time.

DV,
May just have to do that, I am going to a swap meet in Columbus Saturday morning, and maybe I'll drive out. I've only seen Bob Kallio's (Midstates) work once, the rest in photos and video. Maybe see you then.
Take care.

Sorry DV,
Didn't mean to ignore the street rods, my brother had an Austin Healey, I bet he would die if he saw one restored. British racing green as I remember.
