Yup--
Were still on for the 20th-- I know folks have been quiet--Holidays and all--but now we/I need some agenda feedback--
I'm still in the process of gathering ideas and thoughts for the agenda--
1) I think DV wants to share some thoughts and ideas about the Fling-
2) The lady from Cystic Fibrosis will be in attendence, maybe we will get an information update
3) I want to elect officers, as I stated earlier, I would like this to be first on the agenda--then I will turn the meeting over to the new grand poopa's-- do we have an attorney in the group who would be interested/willing to serve as an adviser/officer? This club is getting large, so do we need some kind of protection?
4) Make plans for motel reservations for the OCC members, I think it would be neat if we were all together. Seperate rooms of course.
5) See about a car show Friday PM -- for those who can make it Fri--Last year lot's of people showed up and had nothing to do except clean up the cars and drink beer. On second thought, that wasn't to bad.
6) Raffle tickets for the Cobra give-away??
7) Gathering items to be auctioned off.
8) Delegating tasks.
9) Deciding if we want the club to have regions--with officers from each, or one club with single officers.
Well, it's up to us--
Any thoughts or ideas--???
Ed (DV), does this sound -- ok?

Personally I think it's an excellent idea--But I think we should wait until the 20th to see what's planned. I don't know if others have any ideas or thoughts on this--
I also think we need to make sure ALL Cobra lovers are invited on the 20th. So, if any folks are reading this and want to join in please do---you don't need to own or have a COBRA--just love them. A the present time, we have no application form to join the club and actually you don't need to join--
My phone # is 1-330-334-6222---if you have questions--

I'd be interested in forming a regional chapter. Northern Ohio to be exact. I'm about 25 miles west of Cleveland on the lake. There are about 8-9 Cobras right around me and about 5 of us the attend shows together on a regular basis. I also know that there are people closer to Cleveland that are also interested in starting a club. Run into them at a show last summer and there were 8 Cobras there. I think 3 of the guys I hang with made it to SF last year.

I sure hope it's still on! The Mrs. and the Miss. are making all kinds of "stuff!
All we need is a head count. Need to know whether to have it at the house or do I need to sweep out the shop?

Out of hibernation...
Frank, everyone;
Mike hit it on the head...just busy over the Holidays, haven't been on line much.
I'm definitely in for the 20th. Ed, if I can bring anything, or help set-up, let me know...I'm not far away! Also, I'll bring that lift info, see what you think. Perhaps we could throw it out to the group, and plan a HUGE purchase for a MEGA discount! Anyone else interested in a 4-pole lift??
Steve Boardman has the new shirts available as well, so if anyone wants some for the meeting, let him know!
See everyone on the 20th!!

Hey--Guys--
We've already got a Northern Ohio Cobra Club--we even have shirts and ball caps--Last summer (aahhh) we cruised Brunswick, Winks (Barberton) and Berea on Sunday nights--We were to show in mass at the Ford Plant but, the show was cancelled due to 9-11.
It all started up here and the club has grown into the
"The Ohio Cobra Club". We reaction from COBRA lovers is fantastic. At one cruise we had close to 20 COBRA'S. Presently, we have the Northern, Central and Southern Region and hopefully, more to come.
The guys who have been showing up are from Wadsworth, New Philadelphia, Wooster, Medina, Akron, Bereau and the Cleveland area. Probably the neatest thing to happen has been the development of new friends and the opportunity to assist with the Spring Fling.
Presently, we have no dues or application fee's and are a bit disorganized, but we hope to decide what we need to do on the 20th in Columbus to shore things up.
Please join us on the 20th--and if you have any questions please give me a call 1-330-334-6222--in Wadsworth and keep watching this forum for further information.

Well if there is indeed a Northern Ohio Club, then perhaps we need a local chapter. As it turns out there are about 12 Cobras within 20 miles of me, with I'm sure more to follow.
Just as the guys that formed the Northern branch don't come west for shows, most of the people I know don't go east for shows. I did make it to Brunswick once last summer and talked to someone about forming a club. One of the guys that I hang around with did get to that meeting, but then that is the last I heard about it.
We attend shows just about every Fri Sat and Sun during the summer. Mainly from Avon west to Fremont. Just as when I went to Brunswick and saw Cobras that I had never seen, I've never seen any of those same guys at shows that we regularly attend.
That's the reason that I'm suggesting a local club, with state affiliation. BTW I already have my room reservations for SF and am hoping to make it on the 20th

Awww come on guys!
How many are coming Sunday? I've got at least 4 non computer guys coming that makes a total of six postives so far. Me, the Mrs, and the above 4.
Is this supposed to start at noon or 1? Makes no difference to us!
The Mrs. just said if you want to bring anything just bring a "drink" of your choice.
Some good news...some not so good news. Update on Sunday.

All righty then!
Between here and the e-mails looks like 20+. Not bad for the middle of winter!
In fact I've even had a couple of guys that have threatened to drive their machines if the roads are dry!
Now how's that for a "fix" in the middle of January in OHio!?
