Another Good Day--
And one day closer--

So far we've cleared up the following questions--
1) Tax exempt status--and process
2) The motels comping rooms for next year--"not"
3) We are having the car show at Germain Ford on Friday--times and details later--
4) Frank will contact Jeggs and Rahal and continue working with Germain Ford
5) Steve will contact Summit Racing
6) Les and Cindy will handle getting donations in the Wooster area.
7) Brian will need to find another source--Remember your not to proud to beg.
8) David may have a lifting surprise for us
9) Mike will contact Lou's speed shop in Akron and other area dealers. Lou is also, a cobra owner.
10) Frank Kleines has already contacted a few shops in the Medina Co. area
11) Cindy's been offered help running the auction.
Hope I didn't miss anything or anyone.

Suggestions, ideas and questions;
1) Making a spring fling calender--and sell them to raise $$$
2) Reminder to keep this thread just for the auction and creative ideas.
3) Should we open other threads for "exclusive & specific" topics, like any questions regarding the Motels and rooms available and another one for the Germain car show on Friday. So if anyone wanted to ask a question or get info. they could go to that site?
4) Contact others, who are attending (from out of state) and see if they would be willing to contact dealers in their area for auction items.
5) Have a lap top computer, at one of the sites, to put on a disk names, address and E mail address's of all those who attend.

I better let my brain cool down--it's working over time--
Mike

DV Et. Al:

The show at Germain is ON!! They are clearing a corner of their lot for us on one of the busiest streets in town. They have also agreed to donate some Ford parts for the auction (Mike-take note). More on directions and details later but you can put it in the books. Let's give them some publicity.

Frank,

A CORNER! One little Corner! That had better be one heck of a corner. My bets are that they will see at least 100 plus Cobras even if it is early. Friday afternoon!

Pretty cool fella!

Mike, fella, you'r in overdrive! Cross off the calendars though. One of the guys at the other forum is making them as we speak!

Sombody pinch me! Is this really happening?

Frank--excellent work--I know I'll be one of the first to arrive at the show.

Germain - get's a big pat on the back--

Ed--If someone else is doing the calender--Excellent,-that just goes to show you "Great Minds Drive Cobra's"

I will start E-mailing and asking for donations from those who advertize in 5.0 and Kit Car magazines--I'm going to go page by page--and start tomorrow--

It get's better every day---

Mike

Default Auction Donations

Ed,
Cindy and I went to our local Napa dealer and they plan to donate to the DVSF auction. They were quite amazed when I pulled out my copy of Nov. Kit Car mag.

Mike, they even said something about some of the club members parking on a sunday afternoon. We can do something to raise money for Team Jenny in the process! Are you interested?

Les,
That is so great! Maybe than can put a poster in the window a week or two before you guys go. Offer rides!!!!!!

Maybe 15 20 bucks a pop! Or, just let them sit in it and for 5 bucks get their picture taken.

Just thinking here.

Good Job Les--
YUP-I'm interested--but we will need to get some of the salt off the roads--and I need to get the "Wild Thing" off of the jacks. I'm sure we can get others to join in. Franks been driving his around-so he may get their early.

Ed--did you reach Rich yet??

Things are looking good--and the big day closer--

Mike

Thanks

Yup, that's the magazine with DVSF 1 ---
You can probably pick up a Kit Car magazine at your local newstand and check to get the web site--or if someone has a scaner they could send the article to you--I don't have one or I would--
Good Luck,
Mike

Mike
Maybe towards the end of March the weather will be suitable for a cruise in at Napa. Cindy and I went for a ride yesterday (2-9) but it was still a bit chilly!

Ed.... Thats a great idea! Sounds like a plan to me!!!

Got Snake, Here's Kit Cars web address.. www.kitcarmag.com
maybe you can order back issues from them. Hope that helps.

Les

Oz,
That sounds great! Stress to him the fact that he would be helping a good charity not to mention.. being part of something pretty fabulous! How could anyone resist?

Cool I'm back!

Returned from 10 days in sunny So Cal....gawd, is it any wonder everyone wants to live there? Awesome weather the whole time...even saw a Cobra in Santa Barbara...woo hoooo!

Anyway, when I get caught up at work and at home, I hope to dig into my DVSF project, and update everyone. I'm hoping this could be something very positive for us!

Stay tuned!

Dave

P.S. Did I miss anything while I was gone??
