First, thanks to everyone who showed up! To those who didn't, you were in the majority! Small turnout! We need to make some decisions so I'm using this forum as the means to do it. Frank--
Lots to think about. Thanks for sharing and I'm really sorry I couldn't make it-- I would think at some point you, Arron and Steve will need to make a decision which way the club should go. Hopefully, you will get some feedback you get from others-- Let me know if I can help--- Are you guys asking for help in London for the shirt sales?-- Later, Mike |
Mike:
Yep! All the help we can get! I figure 2 hrs isn't that long a stretch so volunteers won't miss much. |
Frank ~ I'll kick in a couple hours of my time to work a t-shirt booth. I can also donate some time for the wet t-shirt contest too!!
Although I was unable to attend the meeting, I would vote for a "CLUB". I believe it would tend to be a little more organized and better participation from the members. How about a get together at the vintage car races next month at Mid-Ohio??? Brian |
Hi Frank, sorry we couldn't make it, we left for a week's vacation in the mountains of N Carolina on Sunday...I vote for club with 3 divisions....Also me and my wife will be available to help sell Tees.....or anything else that is needed......Jack
|
Volunteers:
We will need volunteers for Friday night, Satiurday in London and Xenia. Friday will be from 7PM until ??? probably around 11PM/12 mid. Sat. will be from 10 to 3 and then 5 to Mid. Please let Frank know what 2 hour segment you'd like. Alyce is bringing volunteers also. Thanks ahead of time guys and gals. The countdown has begun! DV -- We need your support and attendance! Have you bought your raffle tickets? |
Frank, put me and my wife down for a 2 hr stint in the 10-3 range on saturday .......Jack
|
Frank; I vote club. My wife and I would be glad to help at one of the booths in London between 10 and 2. Let us know.

Panz & Jack (and significant others)
Gotcha down! Jack 10 to 12; Panz 12 to 2! Thanks guys. You make life so easy! |
With a couple of real youngin's, a wife that works and me overworked with a family construction business, it's tough for my wife and I to find very much free time. I LOVE being around other cobra's but to keep a happy home I have to spend the free time very wisely. Once a year I would go out with the Midstates Owners group for the Cobra's in Columbus drive. They have done this every year for the last 10 years. It's a laid back meeting. Everyone interested pays a fee for Friday night dinner at Fred's in Pickerington with a T shirt, then a nice Saturday drive through southern Ohio ending up at a nice place like Longaberger's Homestead. Then Sunday optional get together for goodbye's until next year. Very laid back, but a good time. Fun for the men and the women as well. It's only once a year, but we always plan for it. Of course it's only ONCE a year. Need a few more gatherings for my tastes.
Free advice is cheap! Jim Downard |
Jim:
If you're looking for a "little more" you ought to consider OCC. Other than an annual dues (if it comes to that) we plan a schedule of events that might interest you and your wife. Of course we're just getting our collective act together as a relatively new organization put we're always looking for new members. |
Frank,
I'll try to plug myself in whenever, and wherever, needed. Also, I will be running the scales sunday at the lodge, if anyone would like to assist me with that. Dave |
Frank--I can help Friday night, if needed--
I like the idea of a club with three chapters-- It sounds like things are happening:D I vote for Cindy to be in the wet T **** -- dunking tank-- If that's ok with Les! :D :D :D GET STUFF FOR THE AUCTION:D :D :D GET STUFF FOR THE AUCTION |
Mike I see you have been busy on the Forum since I last checked.I would gladly sit in the dunk tank if I thought it would help our cause but.. remember the whole purpose of this event is to raise money not frighten away potential dollars!! Now if you got in the Dunk Tank... we could make a killing for Team Jenny!!
Hey Mike when does Wink's drive thur start back up? Cindy |
Cindy--
Winks opened up the first of the month--We were up there a few times--of course it all depends on the weather-- I'm in Florida until Saturday night-- Anything going Memorial Day? You wouldn't scare anyone away---honest--:D Mike GET ITEMS FOR THE AUCTION |
Mike,
Don't know! Les and I are going camping in Ky. this weekend with family. We haven't had much opp. to get out to any shows with the weather be crappy and trying to get things caught up around the house before serious driving weather sets in. Post on the club forum if you and Frank plan to cruise over to Wink's . Les and I and some of the others can join you! :) Is that all you do is vacation in Florida?? :3DSMILE: |
