Hey, try a bigger fuse. But really, it sounds like you have a short somewhere, you probably already figured this out. If the pump cycles on and off ok and it's just when you start the Cobra then I would look at how it's connected to the ignition switch and if it's not to much trouble, replace the ignition switch. I'm saying to do this after checking all other obvious items like all fuses, all electrical connections, loose, or frayed wires, any "power" wires coming into contact with another circuit and or ground. The last part I'm sure you also knew. Just trying to cover all bases. I hope this helps.

Hey, I forgot, I came to this string trying to find out anymore detail about this happening in Columbus on August 25th?! I am a new Cobra owner of about 2 weeks. My car, as I was told, is suppose to be a Everett-Morrison, but I am getting conflicting data. Please let me know about the details on August 25th.
Thanks

HPNUT
On Aug 25th, 02 Kinship Village (a branch of Boys' Village) is holding their first car show to benifit children in foster care. This promises to be a fairly large show with some nice prizes and games for the kids.
I am a member of the Ohio Cobra Club and have asked the club if we could have a large turnout at this show. I know the kids would love to see some Cobra's.
I work at Boys' Village and know this is a wonderful and meaningful reason to have a show. So far I have no idea how many members will show up but, I do have a commitment from a few. I plan on reserving a spot for "Cobra's Only".
The location is at John Bishop Park in Whitehall. Please refer to a posting above for directions.
Registration from 1:00pm --- 3:30pm awards at 6:00pm
This is an open show for all makes and models. The registration fee is $5.00 --
If you can make it please do--you are more than welcome
and I would like to see your COBRA---
Mike

Okay lets see. August 25 is my wedding anniversary. What do you think my chances are of attending a car show all day?

Mike,
Is there a caravan (carasnake?) heading down from the Cleveland area? Would like to hook up with you guys for the ride.
Could meet at I-71 and 42,82,18,3,224,30???
HPNUT, you should have a VIN tag, if it is an EM, probably on the passenger side inner fender - will probably begin "EM427SC...". EM's also (typically) have large triangular glass panels at the upper corners of the engine compartment that hold the hood pins or a bracket for the hood handle. You should also have the cable bonded inside the door panel which releases the doors instead of the more correct door latch mechanism.

Ohhh, I wish it were that easy! We have been burning some serious coal over this thing. We can find all kinds of. "that circuits not it!", but I'll be darned if we can locate the actual short.
Next step is to actually pull the fuse block out, open up part A and B and see if it isn't in the middle of the two.
I think we are making progress, now the fuse is DEAD under any circumstances!
