Default Don't forget the Car show in Columbus

Don't forget the car show August 25th in Columbus.

This is a fund raiser for kids in Foster Care--

A group from the NOCC -- will be there---so far, Frank, Bob, Les, Dan, me have committed.

Aarron and Frank indicated to me at the DVSF they would also try to be there.

It should be a fun day--this is an open show but I will get a section just for the COBRA'S So we can have our own snake pit

Thanks,
Mike

Thank's Frank I'll look forward to seeing you again. The kids are going to be thrilled to death--

Dan the weather is going to be fine---I honestly do not know how they decided to give me the trophy--I mean what was the criteria?
I think the judges were into yellow cars with advertisments on the side.-

Ed,

I will get you the directions, I don't know Columbus that well--- If you can make it, that would be great-- I'd like to see you and of course, "the cookie queen" the Mrssss DV.
I bet this time you'll be a bit calmer and not as stressed out.

Thanks for responding--

Mike

YUP- Ed you were wired , but I sure could see why--what an undertaking (not undertaker), people are still talking about the fling

I can't wait until the next issue of Kit Car Magazine comes out and I can say "I know that guy" you make us all proud

The more guys you can get the better, there was some talk about this being our fall meeting and having the winter one up in the North, then back to your place in the Spring.

This is their first try at trying to raise money for the foster kids. Hopefully by having our Cobra's there we can generate more interest from the community.

Cool bring your shades

I have already started polishing my rims and sidepipes in anticipation of the event, so you had better bring your shades.

Mike:
Had a change in my work schedule and won't be able to make it on the 25th. I think you'll still get a good showing! If possible I'll come out after work if y'all are still around.

Thanks Frank -- I really don't know what time we will leave--
I know you would be there if you could.

Aarron don't wear the chrome off of your rims. I'm glad you're able to make it.

I hope some others can make it also.

See ya.

Mike

Mike, the 25th still looks good.

Interesting weekend... fuel pump jammed Friday night, took it apart and cleaned it Saturday am - so far so good. Back left rotor covered with grease on the inside, found it when I removed the tire to service the fuel pump - yikes! Positive connection on the coil down to 1 strand of wire at the crimp-on connector, crimped on a new one. Noticed oil pressure bouncing between 50 and 60 lbs on my trip to Perrysville on Sunday, usually the oil is pegged at 60lbs on the highway, the car was 3qts low on oil???? Never have figured out total capacity what with Caton pan, remote filter, oil cooler and related oil lines - maybe 8-10 qts?

Enough gremlins for a while!

Dan

Thumbs down I'm out..

Sorry Mike, I won't be able to attend. I'll be aboard the Norwegian Wind cruise ship, heading for Alaska! Now mind you, I love Cobras, but the thought of experiencing Glacier Bay is just a weeeeeeee bit more enticing

I'll continue to spread the word about the show, however.

Hope everyone has a safe, fun day!

Dave

Dan-I think I may know what the problem is--you've been hanging around Steve to much--Has he touched or ridden in your car lately? Has your car been to his house? Have you even discussed your car with him? Does he have a picture of your car? if so, are there needle holes in it?
All of these things need to be checked out--You need to be asking these questions.
Good luck,

Dave thanks for responding--I think I would give up a show for what your going to see-- Honda must pay well, us poo fok need to stay back and take care of the store. Have a great time--I'm jel.

Mike,
I haven't committed simply because my DV is still experiencing electrical problems. (Fuel pump... )

But... I have got at least 4 local guys, not including Frank and Aaron to commit if we can get this nasty gremlin out of the car!

DV -- Free cookie to who can figure this one out!:

Viper -in tank- pump. Ignition on, pump kicks in, builds pressure and shuts off, as it's supposed to. (ECM reads the pressure)

Turn key to "Crank", motor cranks and pump kicks back on. The "INSTANT" the motor fires, the fuse blows. In fact, it "pops" loud enough you can hear it over the engine!

You can cycle the pump on and off all day and it will not blow a fuse...until the engine fires!
