Hey Frank
I was thinking of the same thing , I was thinking of going over to the start of 555 and taking it to Athens for a lunch stop or going the other way and stoping at Hocking tech and having lunch at the catering school . I guess it all depends on how long of a drive you want to take.I have routes down there that are as short as 100 miles round trip and as long as 300 miles round trip with gas and food stops all along the way .

I figured this would happen. My wife is putting on a Haunted Hollow outdoor walk, and yep, that is one of the weekends she's putting it on. Kind of a big ta do. Rented sheriff, porta johns, tickets, etc., and guess who's in charge of fixing anything that goes wrong. ME! Oh well. The still isn't running right anyway. High exhaust temps, and now under moderate to heavy load at mid to upper rpm the engine starts popping on the left bank. Kind of embarrassing. I just got done ordering MSD coil, 6AL module, billet dist, and plug wires. I hope this solve the poping. I'm also hoping the high exaust temps are being caused by my duraspark ignition. My edelbrock carb is definitely not lean as I'm jetted 28% rich in both economy and power modes.
Hope you all have a good drive

O.K. Gang!!

Here's what I propose--I'm open for suggestions, too! We meet at Hocking Hills State Park office/Dining Lodge at 10 AM (off State Rte 374) We can either picnic or have lunch at the Lodge--suggestions? The we mount up and cruise to the following State Park highlights: Old Man's Cave;Cedar Falls; Ash Cave; Conkle's Hollow; Rock House; Gibisonville General Store (for ice cream); and return to the Lodge. All these stops are great photo ops. After returning to the Lodge, we head for Logan and Remples Grove for Dinner at the Old Dutch Restaurant and subsequent departure for home(s). None of the above is locked in concrete, so any additions/deletions are welcome. I'll post directions from N,S,E and W later. First I'd like to get an indication of who's up for it.

Dave:

Of course everthing will be contingent on the weather. We can schedule a "rain" date but that will have to wait awhile. Do you think a picnic would be fun or would you rather eat at the lodge dining room?

I guess I'm more of a picnic kinda guy, but either would be great. If the weather is awesome, it's nice to eat outside, and enjoy the views. And, with a picnic, we can eat at whichever park works best(ie: less crowded)

My only question....who's following along with the CAM2 tanker??

Sounds interesting, but a little too far into the future to say for certain. If able, I will try to make it.

Started working in the Columbus and just brought my car up this past weekend - even though I am a temporary transplant from Georgia would love to join your cruise in the Fall. Also open to other events when they might be scheduled. You guys sure have some beautiful country around here.

Default Count me in Frank

My wife and I just did a hocking hills cruise a couple of weekends ago and we always go in the fall. Dinner wise, I am more of the sit down type but picnic lunch is always nice.

Any interest in an over night at the lodge? Do they have a liquor license Could be fun.

When we where there we just continued down 662(not sure, the main drag into hocking hills) to 256 on the way back. Great newly paved curvy pretty road. You plan it an we will be there. I am seriously concidering turning it into an over nighter if anyone wants to.

Welcome! It is my understanding that there are more registered Cobras in Ohio than any other state. So welcome to the 'real' (go to be cafeful with that word) Cobra country. My kind of guy to bring his car up so it can be close. Where are you working?

I will be going to the SCCA Solo II Govenors cup event this Sunday if you are interested. Check out http://www.ovr-scca.org/ and click on the link.

Hey rdorman, was that you I passed on 664 just north of Bremen a few weeks back. I was driving a dark blue dodge diesel pickup with a big boat behind. I was on the curvy part of 664 between St. Rt. 37 and 22 heading south and passed a red cobra heading north. The cobra was alone and I was wondering then who it might have been. If it was you, then you were about 2 miles from my place.

Just wondering,

Jim Downard
