Jack,

You've got to be joking! I never get any respect... probably had to be there to collect the trophy - just my luck.

Incidentally, made it home OK - stopped for groceries - then parked it in the drive. Pulled it into the garage about 10:00pm. Went out to go for a drive Monday a.m. and the clutch pedal went flat to the floor! Mixed emotions... made it to and back from the show (about 2-1/2 hrs drive time) and then it craps out... could'a been worse I guess.

Not sure what's up, will bleed it tonight. I have a McLeod slave (internal) - hoping the banjo fittings did'nt leak.

Mike, what's up with Wadsworth? can't recall hearing about this show.

Dan

Mike,

Something is tickling the memory banks about this sunday - not sure what, will advise tomorrow... would need directions to your house - down by 76/224 exit?

(assuming I get the clutch fixed)

Dan

Dan,

If you AND your ego still fit in that small roadster of yours, you're welcome to caravan down to Mike's with me.

My car is behaving nicely, but like Mike's car, it sucks up fuel like theres no bottom in the tank! I may have to re-fuel 9 or 10 times along the way.

Judy and I are going to make this show. This will be our longest trip to date. I want to see DAN win another trophy without stripes.

Mike,

Sunday is iffy at best right now. I could'nt get the t/o clutch bearing to bleed last night... had the car towed to C&M Performance this morning.

Either they will be able to bleed it - or - the @#$% McLeod t/o bearing is leaking or shot. I was planning to change from the internal to an external t/o this winter, but now...

Jack, allright I'll bite... did I actually win a trophy or not? No word from the OxRoast guys.

Dan

Dan,
here the straight stuff. They had you in the COBRA class for cars with NO STRIPES OR ROLL BARS.
You won first place.
Of course there is only one COBRA with that combination.
Seriously, your name was the first name called in our class, but you had to be present to win. They won't be sending your trophy.
The BEST OF SHOW winner wasn't there either and they gave the trophy to someone else

Jack,

Oh well, easy come easy go!

They got the throw out bearing removed today, good news - leaky banjo fittings, bad news - not sure if they will have it fixed in time for the Sunday cruise.

Side note... my left wrist has been bothering me for a few weeks, thought it was gout. My doctor had it x-rayed last Friday - apparently it's fractured, will know for sure tomorrow a.m.

Pretty funny actually, when you think about it!

Dan,

When I was younger I worked on a chicken farm---a large number of the guys were having sore wrists--after the doctor checked them it was discovered that they were choking to many chickens.
Could this be the problem??

Well, it's the left wrist which gets used only for months without an "R"... thank god it's September already!
