Default S1

Aaron had the S1 at the OSU autocross this past Sunday. He spent most of the time trying to get it to run. Lots of work on the carbs trying to get it to run correctly. I have no idea of the kind of times he ran. Later I saw him in his Cobra and he said he thinks something broke in the suspension during the autocross. Seems as though so far it has not been a happy ownership experience.

I realize more an more how lucky I am. My wife LOVES the car. She wants me to drive her to the bank, where ever she has to go. About a month ago the kids went to my mothers. I asked what she wanted to do that day and she said 'cruise'! We where gone for 8.5 hours. For our anniversary we went back to the bed and breakfast where we got married. She asked about the weather every day leading up to the weekend. She wanted to be sure we could take the Cobra. When I got the car back from Arizona, I had been gone six days. Was the first thing she says to greet me,no. The first words out of her mouth where 'This is WAY cooler in person than in the pictures'. Man I love that woman!

Sorry to hear about Aaron's not so good experience with his S1. Hopefully it is just something minor. Also, sounds like you better hang on to that gal......good ones are hard to find.

rbrunckhorst ~ any other owners from that area coming up.....Tom-In-Ohio, Doug Axlerod, etc.????

Don't know about any other owners yet. Tom-in-Ohio said he was coming to the red brick rally in Oxford tomorrow. I may see him there and will mention Hocking Hills.

Tom et al:
Original thread is Hocking Hills Fall Foilage Cruise BUT from Cinci I-71 N to US 35 to Washington Courtthouse; then US 22 to Lancaster; then US 33 east to right on SR 664 and right on SR 374. Follow signs to Park Office. From Columbus, US 33 East and then like above. I'll have maps and itinerary but essentially it'll be around the park and it's attractions. Itinerary is:
1. Meet at Park Dining Lodge/Office between 10-11 AM
2. Cruise to Glen Laural
3. Cruise to Rock House
4. Cruise to Conkle's Hollow
5. Cruise to Old Man's Cave
6. Cruise to Cedar Falls
7. Cruise to Logan & Olde Dutch Restaurant for Dinner (optional)

Bring cameras-the leaves are supposed to peak this weekend! Great views and great roads for our cars-2 lane over hill and dale and twisty! I suggest having a full gas tank. No turbo blue available. You might want to fill up in Lancaster. Sunoco has 94 Octane.
Looking forward to seeing y'all again!

Hey!!
I almost forgot! If you want to caravan from Columbus, let's meet at the Elephant Bar (now closed) parking lot (I-71 and SR 161; right on 161 off I-71, on the left, at 9 AM. Does anyone need a ride? I'll be solo.

Frank ~ I'm still planning on attending this Saturday. Is the Elephant Bar still the meeting place?? I'll take your word on the weather forecast, although if the H2O would happen to fall you to have to promise me that you will show me how to put my soft top on

Unhappy

Weather report this morning(10-17) for Sat.: Cloudy, windy, chance of rain, high of 52. I guess just like the stock market....nobody really knows what the hell it's gonna do 'til after it does it!

Default Weather this week end

Forecast as of 4:40 AM EST for Saturday is rain likely mainly in the AM, 70% chance.

Sunday is partly cloudly with highs in the mid 50's. Frank, is Sunday our rain date?

Sunday may be a better day, particularly for those of us from the Cincinnati area, since we will have to leave early in the morning to meet with you at the park (2 and 1/2 hours). Would wait to decide since you never know how the weather may change. Weather forcasters are great historians.

Well Guys What do you think? Nothing is locked in concrete so we can just as well switch to Sunday, if it looks like a better day.Seems like the consensus is to switch.

Thumbs down Looks like a bust for me..

Sorry guys, looks like I'm out. Saturday is a poohpooh due to the weather, Sunday is a poohpooh due to family committments. Sure seems summer ended rather abruptly..

To all who proceed..., enjoy, and drive safe!
