I'm there! Thinking perhaps organizing a pre-fling fling. My wife and I got married at a beautiful B&B up at Atwood lake. Romantic place. Concidering booking the place for nine lucky couples. A little spouse appreciation if you will (OK guys, lets bash on Rick now!). Thoughts?

Rick:
Glad you'll make the cruise. As usual, not a lot of responses. Guess everyone is waiting to see what the weather will do. Want to caravan down together?

A little off topic, but a great chance for 4 lucky Cobra owners.
A very well known Professional photographer wants your Car!

Larry Peters will be taking the photo's at next years Fling. He has spent thousands of dollars on haveing a huge, hand painted back drop done. (It's looks like a tropical sunset)

He then has made a portable "studio" if you will, to take photo's of your car in front of it. I've seen his test "shots" of his Viper using this backdrop and it is drop dead georgeouos!

What would normally cost you hundreds of dollars for this photo session will cost you nothing! In fact Larry will supply you at least one 8x10 for free, for your troubles! (Ya right..trouble )

He requests a limited number of cars, maybe 3 or 4. For those that are interested, we'll meet at the shop around 11 am Saturday, 10-12. His studio set up is about 2 minutes from the shop.

A full wash, wax, debugging is NOT necessary! In fact he will even supply cleaning material for you, in case you did catch that bird doo-doo on the way out. Other than a normal wash and rinse. all he asks or suggest is that you have some kind of "shine" on your tires.

That's it. If your interested let me know. First come first serve! Blue, Silver, Red, Yellow, what ever!

DV

Default Frank and DV

Sounds good Frank. Last time we came back all the way down 662(?) from hocking hills which dead ends into 256 outside of Pickerington. Much nicer than 33 and the road was freshly paved, nice and twisty, tree lined. Lets work it out as we get closer. The only thing that would stop me from going is rain. Hopefully others will feel that way.

DV, I would LOVE to if you think he would be interested. My only problem is I will be at the alignment shop at 8 and probably would not be able to make it until about noon. Plus I better check with the better half!

Come on guys, lets CRUISE!

Cool Who wants black??

DV,

I know most photographers cringe when you mention black, but, if you want a black one(who painted this thing, anyway.. ) I can rumble on over your way. Lemme know.

Also, Frank, crossing my fingers on next weekend. Work Schedule is 50/50 at best...for the moment. This is the joy of R&D work. You never know the schedule 'til afterwards!

Frank ~ I plan on attending if the weather is decent. Heather reminded me that it was sweetest day plus the fact that she really doesn't like the car........her hair gets messed up and she ends up smelling like fuel. I told her I love the smell of fuel and that her hair always looks messed up. She didn't find much humor in that

Anyway, is Judy going????

Tell the wife to get a scarf. And if she wants to be with her 'sweetest' she better get with the program!

What is it with women? For mothers day, valentines, sweetest day, anniversaries, birthdays, you name the holiday...... we are supposed to make over them like some love sick teenager and bend to their every whim! If you do show up with flower, chocolate, jewelry, a trip to some place 'romantic' and then swoon over her the entire time, you name is Mud.

What do we get? Fathers day? Hell I usually go golfing and am shocked if there is a hot meal when I get home. As Chris Rock said 'Feed me, F#$& me and shut the F#$& up'!

Of course we do get the cool cars

Just kidding guys. I have been know to do ALL of the above in the name of peace and easy living. And honey, if you read this, wouldn't trade it for the world!

Dave,
Your car would absolutely be the "baddest" of the bad! I'd love to see that photo.

Rick, if you are going to come let me know! We'll just put you toward the end of the line. I know Larry and this wont be quick. He has an eye for perfection, which you will see.

OK, here we go: Steve Smith from Dayton with Blue and silver,
Tom Jambowski from Delaware, dark glue w/gold stripes, Dave's all black demon, Nick with the DV II. Rick (?) w/ solid red.

Frank, Brian I can get you in if you want. Any body seen Aaron? His silver would be really cool too!

Let me know.....
DV

Rick, the studio is less then 2 minutes from the shop. If you can make it, I'll get you directions.

While I like to think I wear an exceptionally long leash, I will have to test the waters on this one. I'm supposed to put the family on a plane that day.

I'll be a bachelor for 3 weeks while THEY (not me) visit the in-laws.

Steve:
Hope you can make it! If you need to overnight, We've got extra room.

Brian: Judie is like Heather-hates the car and won't ride. I have to find another honey to share the joys of Cobra-ing.

DV: You got your "thang" up and runnin yet? I'd like to see you there!

Cool Ask, and ye shall receive

Ok, DV, barring some extreme bad luck, I'll see you Saturday morning. I'll bring my bottle of Zaino Tire Gloss to appease the photographer. And remember, black does NOT stay clean and shiney for more than 15 seconds.

Dave

PS: Can you lay a tarp over that @#!$ dusty driveway of yours?

How about we start a: Let's pave DV's driveway fund?

Frank, no SIr, we just haven't had time. I feel we are halfway there, but the time just hasn't been available to cure it completely. If you can make it this Saturday, one trip through the shop and you will see what I mean!

See ya-all Saturday. Hoping something yellow shows up!

Default Thanks but,

I have going to have to pass on Saturday. I really appreciate the offer though. Sounds like you will have enough cars.

Aaron is probably home kicking that new S1 of his. He is not happy.
