Just got off the phone with Ed and Randy (DV and DVJR), very exciting! But as usual, it is their news to spread so don't ask me! Like Schultz in Hogan's Heros "I know nothing! Nothing!".

Help may very well be needed! We won't know how much and for what until later. I am already on board to help out on one event but it is just to early to know any particulars. But rest assured, I will remember the offer!
Thanks

I've had my donation items for the raffle for three months already.
As soon as I hear what hotels we're using, I'm booking...or, since Dorman is staying at the hotels this year, I may be staying at his house...
This is wonderful news....

Rick,
I've mentioned this to DV, but I know he is overwhelmed. I have offered to help out however I can in DVSFIV. I'll be there with several hundred chocolate chip cookies. I'd recommend a cookie contest, since it is about cookies. I'm in eastern Pa, so not sure how I can help, but count the wife and I in. As I mentioned, we'll have "baby Fling" with us. I'm trying to come up with a funny baby outfit we can put on him (if the wife will let me).

Rick,
I was thinking you'd be taking your wife to the hotel for a getaway weekend on the outskirts of Columbus... I was planning on having the house to myself..
I'm keeping the bolt head for myself but managed to buy and hold on to three "In and Out Burger" t-shirts featuring Cobras and another BF GOODRICH 289 Unique banner... I should just ship it out to Jamo and have him send a check to DV for the same amount as last year....
Later,
Cas

Cheerleader (da Wife) said no more Fling artwork in the living room...three framed pics and the banner.
But, I'm sure another one would look great in the dining room.

Ernie,
Will that mean the diapers will just be replicas too? So I won't have to change any real ones?
Yeah, we definitely want to bring him. But we're not sure how that'll work. We obviously won't be able to ride in the Cobra together. Which was so much of the fun we had.

Hey Jamo ,
Are you the one that picked up the Goettner Litho
at spring fling 3 titled "The Legend" and signed by Carroll?
I often wondered who got that one.
I've got the sister to it # 44 hanging on my wall.

I am with you now Al/Casaleenie! Actually, I wasn't planning on having the wife at the hotel but at home. My father comes into town every year for this. Now maybe he will stay at home with the kids and my wife can join me at the motels. But, that means that I would have to be less of an a$$ than usual! Oh well, we will just play it by ear. I can not miss the hotel sceen this year. Seems just like to much fun!

Hotels?
Anybody made hotel reservations yet?
With some of comments about the Cross Country, I'm afaid to give them my credit card number. I stayed there for DVSF II and had no problems, sounds like it didn't go so well in '03.
Wayne, who couldn't make it to DVSF III but is looking forward to IV.

Hotel reservations
If you are going to stay with the group, I would hold off on reservations unless they can be cancelled with out penalty. Largely because of the Cross Country issues I think there may be some looking at alternate group of hotels. So who knows where they will be. They could be across the street or across town! Columbus just does not generally have a single hotel with 500 rooms! Well actually there may be one but we don't want to stay there.

just as a data point on the Cross Country....I stayed there for all three DVSF's and haven't had ANY issues with them. To my knowledge, none of the other 15 or so folks from CACC that have stayed there had problems either.

Wade, others. Not to worry, we wont be going far! DV Jr. is working on this as we speak. So has Rick. Seems there are quite a few hotels right in our area that will be glad to have us.
Not to worry, you make the plans, we'll get the hotels!

Anything new on the fling? Is it on, what dates? Any news on the hotels issue?
