DVSFIV help

A couple of people have suggested that OCC have a 'team building' excersise by sponsering an event at DVSFIV. Well folks, here is your opportunity!

DV has asked me to coordinate an event. AND I AM GOING TO NEED HELP. There is no such thing as to much help.

Without going into detail (not prepared to do at this point) the event we can put on is probably going to be in one of the evenings (so not an all day'er). I am going to need assistance in hunting down a shopping list of items, event set up and tear down and of course running the event itself. If you are TRULY interested in working with me on this, contact me directly. It will not require a bunch of commitment in general. Mostly it would be working the evening of the event.

There most likely will be some costs associated here. If you are aware of some one that might be interested in sponsoring the event let me know and I can discuss it with them and DV. I do not expect the cost to be all that significant.

Thanks

Rick

Got to give me some info on this....
Last time I volunteered for something we were on a forced march ten miles from camp... They asked if anyone knew how to drive a truck... I volunteered ... I drove a wheelbarrow the whole way back...
Keep me posted.....

Rick, e-mail me...:)

All--

I volunteered once and I got to clean toilets with the "latrine queen".mad:

Rick put my name down -- I better put up or shut up --
but I will be offended if I need to clean toilets-- ah, what the heck, someone's gotta to do it--

I think we should fine a way to raise some $$ as a club and present a check to DV at the auction--- Lot's of folks have some good ideas we just need to tap into them.

I would have put money on the fact that you two would be the first to respond.

I have been asked to do a specific event at a specific time. But, an event by OCC way before the Fling to cover the costs of the event that I have been asked to do, and that I am asking for help with, is a good idea. OCC a fling sponsor!? Hmmmmmmmmm.

I will email both of you a little later.

For those who have yet to respond, I encourage you to do so. I need help ranging from a couple of hours helping out with the event to.............................................

Thanks
Rick

Let Cindy and I know what we can do to help! As long as it doesn't interfer with the auction, we'll be glad to lend a hand!

rdorman 01-08-2004 01:38 PM

Rick:
I'm going to Anderson's General Store tomorrow and will try to set up a car show with them co-sponsering with Germain Ford and OCC. The outcome is to raise funds for Cystic Fibrosis. I don't know how receptive they will be but I do know that the Brice Road Anderson's store had a show last year. I also don't know if we can pull it off before DVSF IV. I've been thinking about this for a few weeks now and before it came up here. Stay tuned-news at 11.

I DO have a mission! Which I why I am going to need help. I will email personally those which I have not already when I get back to work on Monday.

Frank, sounds good. We will undoubtedly need funds for our DVSFIV event. I plan on site shopping today!

Rick, remember I am in the white, wintery north.

But let me know what you need and I will see what I can do.
