Autocross or Marathon...
All of you that don't plan to run the Columbus Marathon on Sunday can join us at the SCCA Autocross event # 9 at OSU / Ackerman instead. It'll be dry and nice and only two more to go this year! It's easy to register at www.myautoevents.com and we'll all be in class EM.
Come on out and have some fun!

You can still register at the arrival Sunday morning between

I heard them running over there on Sunday. Unfortuniately, couldn't go. I need to check the schedule for the rest of the year and see if I can get one in.

Rob,
Nice picture of your SPF! You must blow the doors of the rest of us in EM with that machine!
Hope you can make it to the Fun Event.

Rob,
I can't recognize it on your picture but you probably have real pin wheels with knock-offs on your SPF. But if its regular 5 bolt-ons you can borrow my Kumho's just to see the difference with stickier tires. Just for the Fun Event...

Good time for sure!
Now Rob, I thought your fastest time was ahead of mine. Either way, considering similar power to weight ratios etc and with me running Hoosier TDs and you BFGs even the two of us being close says volumes for your setup and/or skill!
Kind of a funny story from the autocross. I get in the car to make my second lap. Just before the first turn I grab for second. The clutch pedal goes to the floor and there is lots of clanging noise!
So I get a push into the paddock area and small group of helpers and on-lookers gather. I quickly annouce that the problem was the rod from the clutch slave cylinder had worked its way loose and fallen out. Not real good. I excuse myself for a minute, walk over to my stuff and return with a long white box. Open the box and pull out a fresh slave cylinder. The crowd is impressed.
During the replacement process, one of the crowd opens the hood to prepare to put some brake fluid in the master cylinder so we can bleed the clutch. "Um, is your fan supposed to look like that?" he asks. I get up and look and only three out of eight original blades remain. No wonder I was feeling a vibration when the fan came on! Again, I excuse myself, walk over to my stuff and return with a flat white box. I open it and pull out, yes, a brand new fan blade! Now they are really impressed!
Car was fixed before the next heat, no more problems.

Your white box will come to you after some more time with the ownership experience!
Mine, like yours, is a pretty reliable beast. But being nearly 20 years old, has it moments!
